I am just looking for some advice/opinions. I have been trying to conceive for 4 years and started fertility treatment at the end of last year. I suffer from pcos. I have had 2 miscarriages.
I got an early scan the 2nd time to be sure which was on thursday, going by my last period i should have been 10 weeks but i am very irregular and i know i didnt conceive untill the end of march time. The woman who scanned me told me i have had a missed miscarriage because my baby was only measuring 6+5 and she couldn't see a heartbeat. She said it should be a 10 week baby but i know i wasnt that far gone as i had blood tests on the 17th march which showed i hadnt ovulated yet. Has this happened to anyone else?

Advice/ opinions about what OP?

Sorry for your loss Flowers

I would ignore what she said about being 10 weeks pregnant because you know you ovulated later in your cycle. However, if the embryo measures 6+5 then there should be a heartbeat. I would try and get another scan towards the end of the week to check.

I'm sorry you're in this situation, it's horrible.

I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else? I have had no symptoms of a miscarriage and still feel the pregnancy symptoms.

I can't really help OP, my baby was measuring behind at her first scan but there was a heartbeat at 6+1
The dates is not really the worry, it's more about the heart beat.
Having said that, I have seen people post on here where there was no heartbeat up to 7 weeks then all was fine when they went for another scan.
I don't want to get your hopes up but maybe all is not lost yet OP. Best of luck for your scan x

Happened to me I had to have another scan a few days later before they talked about possible options for medical management. I think it was the waiting that was the worse bit for me knowing I still felt pregnant but knowing it wasn’t to be.

Hi Nomex, I’m so sorry you had this at your scan.

This happened to me and I understand the shock and stress of it. I hoped against hope for my pregnancy but it turned out I had had a missed mc.

There is a lot of support on here if it turns out this Is what has happened (And I really hope it isn’t). The mc board is a great source of support and advice Flowers

I agree. I think its the waiting, monday will be closure. My last miscarriage i had signs of it happening so i knew but this time is such a shock as i felt everything was going well because i was still feeling all the symptoms. I think that im maybe just trying to hold on to anything i can.

Onceuponatimethen · 09/05/2020 22:34

Oh Nomex I am so sorry - I know those feelings Flowers

I had this in January. I never had any real pregnancy symptoms but my baby stopped developing at 7 weeks and my 8 week scan showed no heartbeat. I had no signs I had miscarried. I really hope you have a different outcome.
