Nothing could put me off my tea! Switched to Decaf, first & second trimester, now on one cup of weak normal tea in my third.
Coffee, I have no interest in, anyway. I have been very lucky, though, regards sickness, cravings etc...

@Shanlou12 11+3 Smile

I couldn't stand tea throughout both my pregnancies. I usually love good strong tea you could do a clog dance on, but even weak tea made me heave. Shortly after DS1 was born, I was offered tea and toast and I enjoyed it so much. It was very strange to suddenly be able to drink it again so quickly.

Shanlou12 · 08/05/2020 12:26

Oh really drank it staying away how weird!
And congrats @sunnygirl123 maybe you will be able to drink it in your second trimester like lots of the above comments hehe

Not to be pessimistic, but DM went off tea in all her pregnancies and after the last one she could never face it again

Shanlou12 · 08/05/2020 12:34

Oh no!
Well I mean I am not a huggeee tea drinker like I said normally have at least one cup in morning so I wouldn’t be that devestated I suppose ha

Mint tea with honey is my go-to pregnancy hot beverage Brew

UnderLockdown · 08/05/2020 13:01

For me it was coffee. I absolutely love coffee. But when pregnant could not stand the taste or smell of it. I literally couldn't walk into a coffee shop without feeling sick

ittooshallpass · 08/05/2020 13:24

I think it's your body's way of saying it doesn't want the caffeine. I went completely off coffee when I was pregnant.

Shanlou12 · 08/05/2020 13:46

@ittooshallpass good way of thinking about it

Yes!! I haven't been able to drink tea or coffee throughout my whole pregnancy and I'm 28+2 😩 miss it lol so hopefully will be able to drink it again when he's here!

mable88 · 08/05/2020 17:05

I was the opposite, started craving tea which I didn’t really drink before being pregnant. And went off coffee completely which was sad as I would normally have several cups a day! After 12 weeks I started being able to have coffee again and the tea craving subsided. Pregnancy doesn’t half do weird things to us!

itssquidstella · 08/05/2020 17:08

I've gone off coffee (I'm only 5+4). It doesn't make me heave or anything, I just find I'm not enjoying drinking it. I've poured half of my morning cup away every day this week; maybe I should give up trying to drink it at all!

thethirdbar · 08/05/2020 17:32

I fully went off tea for the first 12-14 weeks probably. I was so happy when I realised i wanted a brew again, it made me start to feel a bit more normal in among all the sickness.

Shanlou12 · 08/05/2020 17:36

Yea so strange what it does to us eh!

Yes I figured for me it was the milk, so I tried a tea without it and it was lovely!

Shanlou12 · 08/05/2020 17:56

All I want is lemonade 😭 haha but I know I can’t drink lots of it but I really really want too hehhe

I'm a tea addict and I've completely gone off tea and I'm only 6 weeks, the thought or smell of it makes me gag 🤢

Popcat120 · 09/05/2020 22:09

Yeah it's really common apparently.
I've gone off tea completely again.

Jay0512 · 10/05/2020 07:28

Tea addict here! Well, not anymore! Totally gone off tea from very early. Just don’t fancy it anymore, didn’t think I’d ever go off tea!
