Hi, ima FTM and I haven't been sleeping properly since about 14 weeks but it's got really bad the last few weeks. I fall a sleep fine but then I wake up about 4/5 times trying to get comfortable or realising I've rolled on to my back. I've got a pregnancy pillow from amazon but it doesn't seem to have done a lot - it's a big 9ft one looks a bit like a tooth! Between this and needing a wee as I need to drink so I don't wake up with a headache! I guess when I'm trying to ask is anyone experiencing the same or got any tips to help get comfortable?

P.s when people say get your sleep in now while you can - I'm like if you couldn't let me know how that's possible that would be great! Wink

Mine got better about 22 weeks for a while . I massively made sure I had a good calm bedtime routine ! I used a long pregnancy pillow which helped a lot now I'm 32 weeks and I sleep but wake up even more 😂

I’ve always slept on my back and whatever position I fell asleep in would find (in both of my pregnancies) that I woke up back in my natural sleeping position. I fretted about it but a multitude of midwives and doctors told me not to worry about it. That anxiety alone had me unable to sleep until I was reassured.

I've found that my sleep has got better and worse throughout pregnancy. I was struggling at 26-28 weeks but now at 32 weeks though much bigger and need to wee more I sleep better as I feel I'm more balanced. Early 20 week period I remember I never slept very well. I have the U shaped pregnancy pillow and in all honesty it has been my pregnancy must have. I sleep with it looped between my legs so one side is supporting my back and the other is slightly under my bump supporting it. If I didn't have it I would definitely end up on my back all the time.
