Just found out I’m pregnant with my 3rd child (2 older DC’s from my previous marriage)

Congratulations.

When you say 22, does that mean you're a lot older? There's 10 years between my partner and I (I'm the older one) and we're having a baby in a few months.

Sorry posted too soon! Have just found out that I am pregnant! I should point out that I am 32 - 10 years older than him but we have been together for 2 years and we are in love and have a great relationship. We have discussed having children but were planning on waiting till he was a bit older. I don’t know what to do. Think I am rushing him into parenthood if I keep this baby!

Most 22 year olds I know can barely wash a dish.

Is he financially stable? Good job? Home?

@superstressy I know it sounds cliche but he’s not a typical 22 year old. He’s very domesticated. He has a good job but renting at the minute. I have my own home which I always assumed he would move into eventually. I’m scared I’m robbing him of his youth

It takes two to make a baby. Why are you acting like this is all your fault and like you’ve done him some kind of disfavour by getting pregnant?

Have you discussed having children together? How old are your current dc? You said he doesn't live with you-has living together been discussed?
I had a surprise 3rd dc and he's the best thing that happened to me after my divorce. And I say that as someone who had ended their relationship a week before I found out I was pregnant and have raised him alone with my other 2dc.
Congratulations! I always tend to think things happen for a reason and are meant to be but that's my romantic side coming out

Well I was pregnant at 22 and had my first at 23. I didn't feel like a young mum.
I think because you are older you maybe think he's so young? I don't think 22 is too young to be a parent.

Thank you @Bercows Yes we have discussed having a baby but had planned on waiting a few years. I always knew I wanted another child just a bit that it’s happened now! My older DC are 10 and 8!
@LittleBoyJuly2020 That’s lovely to hear of someone with the same gap being so happy I told him this morning when I found out and he is very happy - it’s just me that’s the worrier!
@delbelleber I know it’s crazy because I was 22 when I became a mum for the first time and didn’t feel young at all! It must be because I’m older now

My two were 6 and 8 when ds was born. It's been a nice gap and they are very close.
