So I'm 15+2. I know obviously things are different now with lockdown etc. But I was thinking I could be contacted regarding a telephone appointment or something? This is my first pregnancy and I'm been put as high risk. What has everyone elses experience been with this appointment?

I had to ring up and make my own 16 week appointment.... I know they're mostly telephone appointments now but I think you still have to ring and book.

I had my 25 week check on Monday in person and I was asked what my preference would be for ongoing appointments.
I arrived at the gp surgery and was greeted by the receptionist wearing a mask and directed to a table to put on my own mask and gloves. I stood in the waiting room on my own until the midwife came to get me. She wore a mask throughout. On exit there was a bin for the gloves and face mask. With these precautions I'm happy to go to the surgery for my appointments but said I didn't want to attend any appointments at the hospital or similar. Without the precautions they had in place I would prefer a phone call when feasible

It might be worth phoning the place where the appointment is, asking their procedure and whether you would be happy with it and what are your options for telephone calls.

My 16 week appointment is next week and as far as I'm aware going ahead however I had to book it. My 8 week appointment was over the phone and when I got my notes at my scan the MW have put a note in to say to call up to book in but I knew anyway from #1

I had to book my own midwife appointments, ring your community midwives and ask, the number should hopefully be on your notes.

It looks like common practice to have a 16 week MW appointment. Ftm here, however on my notes it states 18 weeks, telephone appointment. Now I'm slightly concerned. Is this too late?
