Hello ladies x
Well I’m 5 + 3 today and couple of days ago I had some brown discharge when wiping and today I have some pink mucus on my panty liner and mild period like cramps. I’m so worried this is the beginning of the end for us. We had a early loss in August last year so I’m really worried it’s happening again. GP said they cannot do anything and told me to watch it over the next few days and phone back on Monday when they may refer me to EPU. Is this kind of discharge and cramping normal? I just feel so helpless 😭

Hi. I had brown discharge at 4+3 which turned into light red bleeding and then back to brown discharge and stopped yesterday. After I had this, my pregnancy test lines were stronger than ever! My GP has said he can get me in for an early scan at 6 weeks if it continues but told me not to worry, it's very normal. Try and stay calm ❤️ (I'm 5+3 now too

Katie1109 · 06/05/2020 17:31

Thank you @Nannon145 x it’s just such a worrying thing 😭

Not quite as early but I just wanted to say that in my last pregnancy I had brown discharge at 10 weeks and everything was fine. I did have a miscarriage prior to that pregnancy, but I remember posting on here when I was bleeding and an awful lot of women responded to say that they'd had early bleeding (some of them quite dramatically) and the baby had been fine. So it's a question of waiting and seeing, which I know is really hard Flowers

Nannon145 · 06/05/2020 18:17

It is really worrying @Katie1109 but I've just been chilling out and trying to think about other things. Which is near impossible. Like &@CarterBeatsTheDevil has said, I have read so many stories about women who have bleeding and baby is absolutely fine. So fingers crossed for us x

burdog · 06/05/2020 18:30

I'm in a similar boat. 5 weeks on the dot, had cramping and bright red spotting and I feel much less pregnant (less tired, boobs not sore, less achey) so it's hard not to think of the worst. It feels so lonely because I don't have any close friends who have had babies, and it's too soon to tell my mum or anyone apart from lovely internet strangers :D. My GP advised me to wait, try not to worry and do another test in a week. Finger crossed.

SassyPants87 · 06/05/2020 20:05

Hey I actually had this all throughout my first trimester and luckily everything has been fine (currently 16 weeks) are you having painful cramps with it? Mine was uterus just getting irritated as it expanded and causing some blood vessels to burst it was nothing major and would clear up on its own. I had spotting/ discharge every couple of weeks

I did go for an early scan at 7 weeks to get some reassurance and everything was fine. Maybe try and book in for an early scan?

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 11:09

@SassyPants87 @burdog @CarterBeatsTheDevil @Katie1109 took a clear blue week indicator today and it came up with 1-2 when I thought I was 5+3 💔

SassyPants87 · 09/05/2020 11:33

@Nannon145 did you do a clear blue test to begin with and now the weeks have gone down? Or is this your first time using clear blue? If so you could have ovulated later than you thought you did so you might not actually be as far along as you thought you were?

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 11:52

@SassyPants87 This is the first time I've done a clear blue week indicator x

SassyPants87 · 09/05/2020 12:18

@Nannon145 ah ok!! Clear blue also tells you how many weeks from conception so it won't tell you how many weeks from your last period if that makes sense? So it might be nothing to worry about!
Are you still having pink discharge? X

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 12:44

@SassyPants87 just had brown discharge today. Only this morning though. Nothing since x

SassyPants87 · 09/05/2020 12:48

@Nannon145 I had brown discharge for about a week after having pink discharge with red blood. Are you having cramping pain stills? Have you spoken to your midwife? I'd just keep an eye on it and like I said I had an early scan which reassured me it might be something to look into if you're able to? But note that the sonographer may not be able to pick anything up before 7 weeks and in your case I'd probably wait until 8 weeks just to sure due to ovulation dates

Just rest up and take it easy xx

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 15:07

@SassyPants87 thank you. I'll be ringing my doctor Monday to look at getting in for a scan.

Fingers crossed x

Nannon145 · 09/05/2020 15:08

Not getting any cramping pains. Sorry didn't see that question @SassyPants87 x

SheRasBra · 09/05/2020 15:14

Got everything crossed for you both. So tough to be going through this at all but especially in lockdown. I had quite heavy bleeding in both pregnancies from 10 weeks and both babies were fine. It was the placenta growing and hitting blood vessels as it went. x

SassyPants87 · 11/05/2020 09:58

@Nannon145 did you manage to get through to your doctors today? Thinking of you x

Nannon145 · 11/05/2020 10:22

@SassyPants87 unfortunately I started bleeding yesterday and it became quite heavy. I have taken pregnancy tests and they are ALOT lighter, almost negative so it’s looks like I’m having a miscarriage. I have rang my GP and awaiting a call back but I assume nothing will be done now x

Trixtah · 11/05/2020 12:06

Have you had any more pink discharge @katie1109? I'm about 6 and a half weeks and just had some today and I'm panicking. I had a missed miscarriage in January and the baby measured 6weeks 6 days so I'm anxious about this week anyway. I called the EPU last week as they offers me a reassurance scan after my miscarriage but due to COVID they are only giving it to people who've had precious ectopic pregnancy x

Trixtah · 14/05/2020 18:02

I called EPU again today and having a scan tomorrow as had a bit more pink discharge and mild cramping these last few days. Really fearing worst as don't feel pregnant anymore, not exhausted or really hungry all the time like I was a couple of weeks ago. Hope you're getting on okay @Katie1109 x

Trixtah · 15/05/2020 13:27

Had my scan today and baby is fine, even saw little heart beat fluttering away Smile Nurse said it could just be implantation bleeding and may last a few weeks. So relieved I'd prepared myself for the worst x

Rara88Cas · 15/05/2020 13:34

I had this at 11 weeks, the night before scan and was devastated thinking the worst has happened, but went for scan on Wednesday (it was already booked) and baby was doing somersaults, I think blood in discharge is really common

Trixtah · 15/05/2020 13:37

Oh thank goodness, you really do prepare for the worst don't you? Was a much happier phone call to my husband after the scan the I was expecting x

MariposaPink · 15/05/2020 14:00

@Trixtah that's fabulous news! I'm so happy for you.
I've been going through the same thing since Monday. Irregular light brown spotting for 2 days, nothing for 1 day, light spotting yesterday and then this morning it was slightly heavier and browny/pink. My tummy is gurgling with very mild cramps and a burning sensation from time to time. My boobs don't hurt as much as they used to.
I've been told to go to A&E but I'm terrified. I had an MMC in November and it shook me. This is mine and hubby's first baby and I'm 42. It's his birthday today and I'm praying that this doesn't get worse, at least not today anyway.

Trixtah · 15/05/2020 18:00

@MariposaPink I'm keeping everything crossed for you. How many weeks are you? If its first trimester call the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital and they may offer you a scan. Make sure you mention the cramps or else they probably won't offer a scan. Good luck I really hope everything works out xx
