So it’s now been 24 hours since I felt him
Move. Rang triage yesterday and they were chilled and said the anterior placenta can muffle kicks. It’s totally stressing me out and I just need him to kick again

Ring back now, you shouldn’t have been robbed off yesterday! How many weeks are you?

What’s your bmi? How many weeks are you ? Try lying on your back and then turning onto one side , and then the other side. Drink ice cold water.

I just put a post on here the other day as had about 48 hours of barely feeling a thing (I'm 25+3 with a high anterior placenta).
I had to lie still on my side and really concentrate for well over an hour before I felt even the slightest faintest flutter and was so close to calling the maternity unit but didn't as my gut said she was fine and had just changed position.
It's so stressful having an anterior placenta but apparently completely normal to have days where you barely feel a thing at all just due to their position as they've still got quite a bit of space in there (especially before 28 weeks).
Today, she woke me up and has barely stopped moving all day!

I guess what I'm saying is, this is (unfortunately) pretty normal when you have an anterior placenta, BUT, if there is any doubt in your mind at all, ring the maternity unit and ask to be seen.

Having exactly the same here! I'm 22+1 with an anterior and have been feeling light pokes and prods for a couple of weeks now since my 20 week scan. However the last 2 days have been so much quieter. My gut says baby has just moved position and (I think) I am feeling the odd twitch/jab every now and then - but it's still such a worry! Logically I know he/she is still small and has probably turned the other way or moved position... But I was much less stressed before I had felt any movement at all! Anterior placentas are incredibly frustrating.

@mrs87 yes exactly this

Bmi if 40 will cushion some of the movement at this stage. If it is your first baby you may not be aware of what’s movement and what’s bowel gas. I would call back if no improvement.

Just to let you know, I went to triage Sunday evening and the little bean was hiding behind my belly button. All is well, thanks
