Lack of morning sickness

Hi all, I’m hoping for some advice regarding morning sickness. I have had 2 miscarriages, one at 5 weeks in October last year, and a mmc at 8 weeks in January this year where pregnancy had stopped growing at 6 weeks. Both those pregnancies I had minimal nausea. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, I have had symptoms such as sore itchy breasts, constipation, and period like cramping from 4 weeks onwards. I have had some mild nausea around 4 weeks and again at 6 weeks. Not much nausea since then, I am concerned that it is a sign of hormone levels dropping and another potential miscarriage. I’m really terrified at the prospect of going through another miscarriage. Has anyone had a similar experience with minimal morning sickness or nausea and everything turned out okay?
I had an early scan at 6 weeks at the EPU, everything looked good then and a heartbeat was visible. I have booked a private scan for next week Monday when I will be just over 9 weeks. Would appreciate any views on pregnancy symptoms. Thank you x

I was as sick as a dog with my daughter but never sick or even queasy with my son. My pregnancy with him was so smooth, I forgot I was pregnant half the time until I got big. I hope all goes well for you this time Flowers

Hi :) I’m currently almost 17 weeks pregnant after 2 miscarriages. I was the same as you and so worried as I had virtually no symptoms which was the same with my 2 miscarriages (both at 8weeks). But I’m now 17 weeks and everything seems to be going well so far and the only symptoms Iv had so far is sore boobs and bloating no sickness.

I know how hard it is to think positive and let yourself get excited but I promise as time goes on it does get easier and you will start letting yourself believe it’s going to happen for you.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you :) xx

My pregnancy symptoms came and went in the early weeks with my DTs. It absolutely terrified me, so I had quite a few private scans. They normally came back within a few days I think, but it was such an emotionally difficult time!

According to miscarriageassociation.org.uk “ Research amongst women with a history of recurrent miscarriage has shown that those who saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy had a 78% chance of the pregnancy continuing. It also showed that seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks increased the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that went up to 99.4%”.

I’m so sorry about your previous losses, and wish you all the best for this pregnancy 🌷

I was not particularly nauseated with my dd but this pregnancy I'm sick all day long. I think all pregnancies are different and not everyone is sick. Hope you get good news

Sorry for your losses. I've never had a miscarriage, and only one pregnancy, but didn't have any nausea or morning sickness during it at all. It made me me doubt thins too until I had my first scan. All was fine, so try not to read into it too much.

Thank you all for your kind and reassuring words, I really appreciate it. I caved and booked another private scan today, I’m so relieved to say that all is looking okay with pregnancy matching dates and heart beating away. I moved my other scan for a few weeks time. Hopefully things will continue to go well.

I didn't have any sickness at all, maybe a week of feeling a little nauseous around week 8 perhaps, but nothing to take note of at all. I had really sore boobs and extreme tiredness in the first trimester, but no sickness at all, I was not put off any tastes or smells and I'm almost 37 weeks now, so you defo don't have to have any sickness and all to be ok :) xx
