hi all so last month I was 4 days late for my period. I took a test and said negative and then a week later took another and said negative. I did have spotting and a light bleed for a few days. I then was expecting my period this month. Im late 4 days again. Still no show. And I took a digital test that says 1-2 weeks pregnant. I am bloated like anything and have been since last month. I have no other symptoms tbh. I'm confused if I'm going to be 4 weeks? (Doesn't explain the last weird period) or 8 weeks (which the pregnancy test doesn't state) or have I had a miscarriage? I had a miscarriage last year so really hoping this isn't one! Thanks

1-2 weeks on a digital test is 3-4 weeks in usual terms as it doesn’t go from the date of your last period but the date of conception.

It could be that it’s a failing pregnancy from last month but that would be weird if you and negative tests at that point. One possibility is you’re 4 weeks pregnant 🤞🏼

Hi roosterpie, I have suddenly thought I took my test around 6pm today. And my urine was basically water.. so could I have diluted my urine that much that it shows as only 1-2? I have been having cramping for ages. Not severe just odd twinges etc.

Yes could be dilute urine but different people have different HCG so even if it’s still 1-2 weeks, at 4 days late that wouldn’t necessarily be cause for concern. Do you have another test for tomorrow?

Kga2019 · 01/05/2020 21:02

Yes I do. I was thinking of doing it with my first wee in the morning. I just hope it shows further than that. Otherwise I will worry that I'm having a failed pregnancy or something. X

Those tests are notoriously inaccurate. If you had negative tests at the time of your previous period it’s most likely that you are about four weeks pregnant now. Fingers crossed all turns out ok for yoo.

Best yo read the instructions and test with morning urine. That gives the modt sccurate result. And like pp said it calculates from ovulation. So at 4 weeks pregnant (since last period) it will say 1-2 weeks. That is accurate, because it calculates it differently.

Thank you all, so what was my last period about? That was the 1st April when I started to have spotting. Then a light bleed but was 4 days late. Which for me is very unusual as I am always on time exactly.

Spotting is common in early pregnancy so it could have just been that? When you say light bleeding, how much was it?

Kga2019 · 01/05/2020 22:13

Envy i had spotting the like a light to medium flo for one day the nothing. Usually my periods are extremely heavy. So i knew it was abnormal.

Sounds like you are then! Have you taken another test with your first morning wee?

Kga2019 · 02/05/2020 15:01

Yes done it this morning, showed 2-3 weeks

Brilliant - congratulations! I’m guessing maybe implantation bleeding but sounds all good to me Smile
