Odd ‘period’ but BFP - what are your stories?

Hi everyone

I know this sounds impossible but....

Got my BFP after testing yesterday after throwing up in the morning (I’ve not been sick since I was pg with my first 17 years ago so I just knew!) thing is, I’ve been bleeding light/medium for the last 2 days. Mostly when I wipe but very ‘period’ like - dark red. It’s pretty much just spotting now. Also started 4 days before actual af was due.

I know it seems so daft to take a hpt on my ‘period’, but it wasn’t heavy like normal and I knew I felt pg.

Has anyone else experienced similar with a positive outcome? I’m nervous about possible chemical/MMC. Would really appreciate hearing your stories....

My Mum had what she thought was a light period (she said it came on after lugging a heavy gramophone downstairs - she is 87 now!). She was actually pregnant with my eldest sister.

And a lot of those people who never know they are pregnant till they go into labour say they have had normal periods throughout the pregnancy.

Thanks. I’m clinging on to that hope but despite others saying they had periods during pregnancy dr google says it’s actually impossible. This is worse than the TWW just not knowing.

I had bleeding about 11 days after ovulation, I have a short luteal phase so assumed it was my period, used my moon cup for the first day but by the evening it had dried up. This continued for a few days, on and off light bleeding/brown blood. Lasted about 5/6 days. Took a pregnancy test about a week later as my boobs were rock hard and sore, nausea, and “period” wasn’t as heavy as usual. I’m 15 weeks now!

I spotted for five days from about 8dpo, got a positive on 11dpo and now nearly 9 weeks. Mine was more brown than red.
It's difficult I'm afraid as it can go either way, its unfortunately a bit of a waiting game! Hard I know but time is the only thing which will let you know. Wishing you lots of luck, I hope it all works out!
