I mean I haven't been eating the best but not the worst either! I didn't gain weight this quickly with my first pregnancy, but now the second time around I seem to be piling very quickly from early on! Can anyone comfort me? I do eat a balanced diet but do enjoy treats probably more often than I should.

P.s. I don't have diabetes or anything..

I can’t offer any comfort per se but I’m in a similar position. I’m up from 11st to 13st 3lb and I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant.
Like you, I don’t have diabetes.
Prior to pregnancy, I have been really into fitness for a long time and I still think I’m in pretty good shape. I’m very active. Weight gain seems to have occurred in the bust, bump and bum areas!! I don’t think my arms and legs are particularly bigger although granted, there has been some weight gain in those areas! I don’t think I look my weight but I am apprehensive about what number I will get to on the scales over the next 13 weeks!!! Confused

Honestly ladies please don’t worry, I gained almost 5 stone in my first pregnancy despite trying to be careful ! Granted a lot was fluid but this time around Iv also already put on nearly 2 stone at 22 weeks and I wasn’t small to begin with- that’s will be walking miles a day for exercise!i think some people are just more prone to gaining weight quickly, this will be the last time I’m pregnant so trying not to stress so much about it all and keep doing exercise to help mobility xx

I gained atleast a stone in the first trimister and was probably similar at about 20 weeks as you , after then the weight gain slowed down for me .
Just try and stay as active as you are able
To , eat well with the odd treat thrown in and
Enjoy the pregnancy, personally I found the weight I gained fairly easy to come off afterwards without too much effort

I gained so much weight that my dh threw my scales away as I was stressing out so much.
Have to say I lost the weight and more once my dd was born. Please don't stress.

I'm 24+4 and refusing to even look at a set of scales!
What good will it do other than stressing you out? Seriously, throw them away!

I put on 4 stone when I was pregnant. Mainly due to going from pretty active to practically bedridden, my diet wasn't bad although I ate more carbs than usual as I was very nauseous. I lost it slowly but steadily after DD was born. She's 18 months now and I'm only 3lbs heavier than before I got pregnant and that's just sheer laziness on my part to do something about it. No dieting, no mad exercising, just brisk walking with the buggy for half an hour to an hour a day. Throw away the scales and don't step on them until your babies are at least 6 months, preferably a year old.

I also didn't have diabetes, they tested me three times HmmBlush
