9 weeks pregnant! 😫Pain lower right side

Hi 👋🏻 I’m 9 weeks and have a dull ache similar to the ache I used to feel during ovulation, but it’s been constant for 3 days now.
Everytime I look it up for causes and ways to soothe it, the pages list all the causes of aches and pain in the side from ligaments to miscarriage. And it’s really throwing my anxiety off.
I have my first midwife appointment in a week. And my scan is in 3 weeks.
It’s not excessively painful, it’s extremely annoying and almost constant. I have a microwaveable heat pad that helps soothe it but surely that can’t be good to use constantly.
Any tips/advice ? I’m trying to avoid panicking and bugging a doctor unnecessarily especially during this covid-19 pandemic

I had this when I was carrying my son - felt exactly like ovulation pain! It was nothing to worry about and the pregnancy developed normally - actually it was the sort of twinging pain that made me take a pregnancy test. I am sure it will be fine and get ready for all sorts of aches/pain/twinges etc - pregnancy is full of them Grin

Congratulations on your pregancy Flowers

🥰thanks I’m waiting until after my scan to tell family, only my partner and and one friend know about it so far but neither of them are helpful with my worries as all they can do is google like me!
It’s really annoying and making me really irritable. Which isn’t helped by this lockdown situation we’re in.
I’ve just about gotten used to the aches in my boobs!

I hate to be a killjoy and I am not a medical professional, but I think you should pop to A&E because it could be your appendix, but could also be an ectopic pregnancy. Its probably nothing, but better safe than sorry.

I had a similar pain with DD, we did call 111 who advised going to EPU, they found a small cyst which cleared by my 12 weeks scan on its own, but they were concerned about ectopic pregnancy.

I would suggest calling the pregnancy unit for advise

I had a corpus lutuem cyst in my left side which caused a very dull ache. It's a cyst that lets off hormones to progress the pregnancy. It does cause pain x

Thought I’d update you, all is fine with my pregnancy. It’s just my ovary surging hormones before placenta takes over. Saw baby and it’s heart beat 🥰🥰🥰🥰
