Hi all, I've been pretty lucky with pregnancy symptoms and hormones the whole way through. I'm about to turn 36 weeks and all of a sudden I'm crying or irritated at everything and my partner is pissing me off just by breathing!! This morning already I called him lazy because he was deliberating what to eat for breakfast as he couldn't be bothered to cook, then I moaned that he was making too much noise cooking it and how are we going to cope with a baby if he makes so much noise doing ANYTHING then I moaned he was making too much noise washing up (frankly I should have been amazed he actually WAS washing up) and then I cried and stormed upstairs. Poor sod was only trying to make his breakfast Grin I read this is fairly normal and you do get a huge hormonal surge a short while before labour begins - has anyone else has this? It's like PMT x100 and I know I'm being unreasonable but I can't control it....but also how have I never noticed he's so annoying??!!! :) I don't think it helps I'm not sleeping well at all, I'm so uncomfortable and got pains in my hips and lower back and if I do doze off I then have to get up to pee, maybe I'm extra grumpy cos I'm overtired :(

I am very irritable and I'm isolating by myself Hmm the constant peeing is driving me insane. I'm so uncomfortable. And also anxious about the baby. Lucky only 22 days for me till my section but that seems like a really long time right now.

Are you guys all ready with hospital bag, baby clothes and furniture etc?
I have everything (except a cot ill get later) but it's all covered up so my cats don't get in to it. I'm really bored in the house, I want to go and set baby stuff up but there's nothing I can do now until the baby is actually here.

@Delbelleber sorry to hear you're feeling fed up too, but glad it's not just me, maybe these last few weeks are just really tough! I was pretty chilled for all of the pregnancy but anxiety definitely kicking in now, I guess as it's so close! Just think how quickly the last three weeks have gone, that's all you have left to go :) Yep all ready now so I don't think that helps does it, with nothing left to 'nest' - I'm still working from home thankfully, I was due to start mat leave Wednesday but asked if I can work for longer - as I'm not commuting and have all the baby stuff done, it makes sense to have longer the other side, plus Mon-Fri at least work is a bit of a distraction. Sometimes it doesn't help to be too organized does it, leaves us with nothing to occupy our time with! I feel a bit better as the day has gone on, seems to be evenings I'm grumpy as in pain, nighttime as can't sleep and first thing as I'm tired!

I'm with you OP. 36 weeks and I must have got a fresh batch of pregnancy hormones today, as I got out of the shower and was frustrated with my below shoulder length hair so took scissors to it. 🙈

Then complained to my poor DH he was taking up to much space in the bedroom getting dressed. 🙄

Pregnancy 🤷‍♀️

@TickTockBaby how funny, it must be a 36 week thing, smack in the face with the crazy hormones! Oh bless you I did a lockdown home haircut too Confused
And what is it about men that grind our hormonal gears? Poor sods can't even breathe without being tutted at haha :)
