I can't breathe.

Am I seeing things?

Is that a line?

I had an uncharacteristic outburst and then cried over some vegetables. I've been feeling emotional for days. I know I shouldn't have tested so late in the day, but...

Buy a few cheapies and do one today and another tomorrow? You can get cheap packs of two from places like superdrug.

The issue with testing before your period is due, unfortunately, is that you'll pick up chemical pregnancies you'd never have known about had you waited, though I understand the temptation to test early. If tomorrow's with FMU is still negative, I'd advise against testing again until you've missed your period.

FWIW, false positives are vanishingly rare and usually consistent as they're caused by a medical condition, so you were pregnant. Which is good news, because it means it can happen for you.

So after 3 days of cramps I just started bleeding. I'm devastated and it smells WEIRD, very metallic. This is not usual for me.

I'm currently crying in the bath.

I'm shocked by how affected I am given that I knew I was "pregnant" for all of 2 days.

What if it was a false positive somehow after all?

I'd take it as a positive, that you can conceive, and go from there, but for the purposes of requesting fertility treatment from the NHS would not mention it. And do try to avoid testing early in future if chemical pregnancies affect you this badly, tempting as it is. I think you're probably just very disappointed, adding to 18 months of disappointment, frustration and concern.

If it helps, I saw someone post on the 'how long to conceive' thread to say that it took 18 months for them to conceive the first time and that ended in miscarriage, but they got pregnant again three months later and that one stuck. So it can happen.

That's about false positives, quite informative. I didn't know they could happen if you test too early in your cycle.

Yes , definitely. Congratulations ☺️

@thebeesknee - cramping is very normal in early pregnancy. I had it to the point where I thought nothing can survive in an environment like that. I was sure I was going to lose the baby.
Bleeding can be normal too. Maybe call your gp and ask for blood tests. Or, you can do another test (same make) in a couple of days and see is the line is getting stronger so HCG is still building up.
I have everything crossed for you. Sending love x

Please don't worry. I just saw your last update. Please check again after few days . I have heard many women bleed a little and can be still pregnant.

In any case, don't lose hope.

Yes just like mine was and I'm 15 weeks now. Congrats xx

Sorry I didn't see the update. You poor thing. Sounds like a chemical. Hope you're ok x
