I just bought very large black pants from the supermarket & they were great. No need to spend a fortune.

Lavenderpurple · 25/04/2020 18:22

I got cheap huge ones from primark, not very helpful at the moment though.

Anaesthetist83 · 25/04/2020 18:22

When people say very large, how many sizes up from non pregnancy are we talking? I’m still comfortably in my usual size 10s at 22 weeks. I have visions of buying massive ones and them falling around my ankles

Lavenderpurple · 25/04/2020 18:22

Oh and I bought black for obvious reasons!

Delbelleber · 25/04/2020 18:22

I got a pack of plain black high waisted pants from tesco. They go up to my belly button and I'm 35w pregnant. I also got them because I'm having a section.

AlwaysColdHands · 25/04/2020 18:24

Big black high waisted briefs from M and S saw me through 2 cesareans.
They were a relief to put on late in pregnancy 😂 and perfect afternoon surgery
I’m a size 10 and bought size 14 👍🏻

cheesybeano · 25/04/2020 18:24

@Anaesthetist83 I think it's meant more like granny pants that are high waisted, good for wearing the big maternity pads in Smile

ShirleyPhallus · 25/04/2020 18:24

I got full arse pants from M&S, wore them all through pregnancy and then after the c-section too

Sexy they are not but comfy as anything

kemosabeimalone · 25/04/2020 18:25

These are the most comfortable pants ever - can’t recommend them enough. They are soft, look good on and have a nice high waist:

M&s no VPL microfibre High rise full briefs Two or three sizes larger than you would normally wear

OddshoesOddsocks · 25/04/2020 18:39

Mine were from Sainsbury’s and I LOVED them! Sooo comfy! They even do some with lace on that dp called my sexy ones 😂

Pinkflipflop85 · 25/04/2020 18:45

I bought full briefs from Asda. Cheap and cheerful.

Glad they were cheap because I had more than one pair cut off of me in hospital during my 10 day stay!

ChampooPapi · 25/04/2020 19:23

@kemosabeimalone I second that!

I'd go for 100% cotton ones though, just get full briefs. You'll never wear anything else mind 😉

They are so comfy and wash so we'll, last.

kittykat7210 · 25/04/2020 19:24

I got granny pants (mini briefs) from primark in 2 sizes bigger than my pre pregnancy size, plenty of room, plenty big enough. Im 35 weeks but did the exact same last time and they worked really well!

ChampooPapi · 25/04/2020 19:25

So m&s all the way!

Shayisgreat · 25/04/2020 19:56

I got 2 sizes bigger than my usual size and wore them for the last 5 weeks of pregnancy and 2 months afterwards. Just m&s bikiki briefs.

user1493413286 · 25/04/2020 20:37

I got big high waisted ones from Tesco a size above my normal size

Careybeary · 26/04/2020 05:59

I was still in my usual size 10 knickers throughout pregnancy so sized up to a size 12 full brief for the maternity pads and these were perfect

SamVimesFavouriteDragon · 26/04/2020 06:10

I got the biggest primark ones I could find, they were fine whilst pregnant, but after c section the elastic kept sliding down onto the scar and I was constantly trying to pull them up.
I wish I'd just got better ones from the start, I had to amazon prime them from the hospital because everything was so desperately uncomfortable.
I got the high waisted ones from sloggi after that, they come right up to your belly button, so no rubbing on the scar. They looked identical next to the primark high waist ones, but the fabric feels more cottony and the elastic at the waist is much stretchier, so they actually stayed up and didn't cut in
