6wks preg and period like pains

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have dull lower back and stomach pain. Nothing painful as such, they ste like period pains. Should I be worried? I gave birth to my sleeping son 22 weeks ago at 23 week and it broke my heart he was perfect. Now I'm so scared it's going to happen again

I had cramping pains early in pregnancy, but it turned out to be totally fine. Given what you've been through can you ask for an early scan? Or possibly book a private one? I know it's very early days but I really feel for you, I'm so sorry you've had to go through what you have, wishing you the absolute best

Totally normal. Its the womb stretching. I had it in both pregnancies.

It sounds like normal pains in relation to changes, stretches, hormones etc. If you're concerned though certainly contact your midwife I'm sure they will understand and help ease your mind, maybe check things out x

I’m 7 weeks currently, and have been having on and off cramping pains since 5/6w much like period pain! I think it’s quite normal.

Thank you ladies, you've eased my mind a little and I did take your advice and called my midwife. She said exactly what you ladies said but I'm guessing I'm going to be hearing this alot for the next 9 month hopefully 😊 I'm always going to be scared and looking for reassurance, I wish I could relax a little

@TTClou I had really bad period like cramps with a little brown discharge over that last couple days luckily I had my booking appointment yesterday and my midwife was able to get me a scan at the Epu. Saw a tiny little dot with a strong flicker of a heartbeat! Was told that unless the pain is unbearable and needing pain killers not to worry hope this helps
