Pelvic & vagina pressure - premature labour

Hello

Just to preempt I am on hold with my unit as I type this.

Basically I’m 27+5 and my waters went at 25 weeks so I’m at risk of preterm labour.

Since last night I’ve had this pressure on my pelvis/cervix. I’ve had this before and know it can just be a sign of a stretchy baby but I now have this new/weird feeling in my vagina. I can only describe it as feeling like a golf ball is sat in there or like when you have a tampon in and it slips.

The feeling is there when I sit or lie down but worse when I stand or move. Other than that no contractions or scary signs!

Just wondering what other women’s experiences have been if they’ve had this? Has it been labour or has it been nothing?

Just trying to prepare myself really x

Hi OP,

I have this exact feeling in terms of the golf ball/like a tampons slipped in vagina! It's uncomfortable isn't it, and a bit worrying! I'm 26+3.

Just wondering what your outcome was when you went to see the midwifes? X

Hi @Byets I was diagnosed with SPD :(

Good news is it's absolutely no harm to the baby. Bad news is there is absolutely nothing you do can except painkillers and careful movement and the pain will get worse!

Yay... x
