I'm 27+3 and had a midwife appointment yesterday along with a gestational diabetes test. It was in a different location this time and was with a different midwife. She went through all my notes etc, checked baby, everything looks fine but then she asked me when was the last time I saw my consultant... I told her I'd never been referred to one or told I needed one. Am now worrying I'm not getting the care me and baby need. I have a slightly high bmi and a low lying lateral placenta. Do I need a consultant for these things?
