I'm looking for a nightie for hospital to birth in. I'm looking for a knee length (ish) cotton nightie with buttons down the front for skin to skin and breastfeeding. I can't find a cotton one anywhere online that is £15 or under. Please help 🙏

This lot have various options: www.happymama.co.uk/buttoned-delivery-gown.html including ones with pockets!

I made the mistake of wearing a short black top to give birth in not thinking my pants would be gone. It was not a good look. Lesson learned 😩😩😩 Matalan has plenty of them too

I've looked at happymama but it's all viscose or polyester. I looked at Matalan and primark but I can't find any button down ones. Hmmm tricky...

Boohoo have some maternity nighties, worth having a look there!

I got cheap one off eBay (new)
However, it remained in my hospital bag as was put into a hospital gown

I couldn’t find a button down one either so went for a skinny strap vest style nightie in a size up from my usual. Being a bit looser, it will be easy enough to breastfeed in and also has a low cut neckline for initial skin to skin.

It's not cotton but I've bought a couple of these for hospital, keeping in mind that they may end up needing to be binned afterwards anyway.

Take a look at Bonprix

The Boohoo one looks great. Went to purchase but it's sold out in size 10. I'll keep looking....

I had primark t shirt style nightie for DC1 but I found it really hard to get her on for skin to skin and breast feeding without everything hanging out. So with DC2 I got strappy nightdresses which were much easier I could just pull I’d down and tuck him in without difficulty.

Size 10 is in stock when I look. Maybe it's back in stock?

bluebell94 · 22/04/2020 15:45

How about this one? Not sure what it looks like under the crop top bit but says easy access for nursing Smile direct.asda.com/george/women/maternity/maternity-hey-baby-slogan-nursing-nightdress/GEM751233,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M1G20C19

I bought the Boohoo one and sent it back because it was so short! Very synthetic too. I’ve bought this H&M one instead and am delighted with it, soft cotton and lovely quality. Not too exposing and much less faff than buttons: www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0839177001.html

I've just seen 100% cotton maternity nighties on amazon

PintOfBovril · 22/04/2020 22:31

Might be weird but I'm happy to send you a cotton BF nightie of mine. Maternity size 12 (it's a small 12...). Worn once. Yours if you want it.

winterisstillcoming · 23/04/2020 16:38

Try looking for nightshirt..you don't have to lift it over your head. M&S is a good place to start.

I've found a few nursing pieces from Vertbaudet, might be worth a look, they always seem to have promotional codes too.
