I can't remember exactly what my midwife said, I know I shouldn't eat but can I have water? My test is tomorrow at 10.

I was told not to have anything including water

Weird, my hospital says water is fine. I can't see what difference it would make, your pancreas isn't going to be troubled by a bit of water Hmm

Google is no help either, mixed results! Some people saying they were told it was fine to eat and drink and other saying not to have anything at all...

I was told only sips of water but it’s now been cancelled as not seen as essential at the hospital I’m being seen at.

Water is fine as otherwise they’ll find it impossible to find your veins. Only sips after you’ve had the drink at the hospital though 🤢

erised · 21/04/2020 23:40

Thank you.

They already find it impossible to get to my veins, have to be prodded about 3-5 times every time I have bloods done :(

I was told nothing, not even water, after 11pm. I had a Maltesers bunny at like 5 to 11 tho 😂

Megan2018 · 21/04/2020 23:48

I was told no water after midnight.
