Pregnant Care Workers

Hi

Anyone here a care worker still at work while pregnant, or have you been furloughed/suspended on full pay?

Hi, I'm a domiciliary health care assistant in the community, for my own health's sake I decided to take some annual leave for a while until I feel like it's safe enough to return to work I just don't want to my unborn baby's health at risk.

I got signed off because I'm in the 3rd trimester so I'm getting ssp. My employer would quite happily have me carry on as normal though. No chance of furlough or full pay!

I’m a doctor and still working, but have been moved to phone consultations only. From next week (third trimester) I’ll be working exclusively from home.

Much more difficult for therapists/carers/HCAs though, the job role is so hands on it can’t really be done remotely
