All in the title really!

I use to love a good cup of tea I'd have about 4-5 a day but now just the thought of one is enough to make me heave! 😂

So I'm interested to hear what else everyone else has been put off of since being pregnant!

I’ve just started to feel a bit queasy over the last couple of days. The mere thought of meat or milk keeps making me want to heave at the moment, even though I’ve been vegan for ages and we don’t have any in the house! I’m also getting a bit sick at the thought of anything oily / cooked in olive oil.

sunnygirl123 · 21/04/2020 13:42

Tea!! I loved a cup of tea before but cannot stomach it now. For some reason , the smell of the fridge also makes me sick, there is nothing smelly in it, I’ve cleaned it out numerous times but just can’t get over it lol, strange!

Lyris · 21/04/2020 13:56

10 weeks here and havnt anything I've gone off yet, more that if I look at something my stomach will tell me if I want it or not right then but it changes on an hourly basis.

I cant eat eggs or fish or seafood anyway so theres a few of the general categories people go off already taken care of

I'm 8 weeks today. Not actually been sick but seem to have 'waves' of being nauseous. We normally cook from scratch every night and eat pretty healthy but my appetite has gone and I only want to eat crackers or plain toast (has to be white despite only having had seeded for years) with just butter on. Forcing myself to have a spinach and fruit smoothie every morning so at least I get something healthy in me as for some reason the nausea seems to get worse during the day. Never been pregnant before so not sure if that's normal. My husband is keen to eat proper meals. Monday we made salmon and pea pasta and I could not eat it. Yesterday I had beans on toast. Tonight he has requested we make chicken and mushroom pie. I'm pretty much heaving at the thought of it!

Emberfoot · 22/04/2020 10:52

I can take them just about, but I think it's psychological that I now always feel sicky after tea, coffee or toast. Thanks morning sickness.

Pineapplebaby · 22/04/2020 10:56

Cups of tea for sure! Plus most gravy based meals, and eggs. The thought of cottage pie or an omelette still churns my stomach!
Thankfully my love of chocolate biscuits has remained! 😂

liaun · 22/04/2020 14:21

Anything slimy, which by the way is almost everything. Really fancied mac n cheese the other day, went down fine, but now the leftovers in the fridge are making me gag

TangBloodyFastic · 22/04/2020 14:44

Nothing is appealing to me at the moment! The fridge smells awful, the oven makes me want to heave - any cooking smells are just 🤢 and I cook everything from scratch normally. I'm finding it a real struggle.
Tea & coffee - nope
Crisps (my absolute fave) just aren't doing it for me
Soreen - yes
Diet Coke - yes (1 can a day)
Pizza - just about but struggle with the oven part
Pasta - yes but don't like cooking it

When does it stop??? I LOVE food and am missing the enjoyment of a proper meal

PrinnyPree · 22/04/2020 15:05

Fizzy drinks I used to love a chilled can of coke but now I can't stand any of them (plus the bloat and gas they give me is the worst)

MariaDingbat · 22/04/2020 15:39

There are many things, but sausages are the top one, I had to ask my husband put them in the freezer as they were turning my stomach when I opened the fridge. I can't work on the kitchen at the moment as all the smells are making me heave. Plain popcorn is now my friend.

Mucklowe · 22/04/2020 15:46

I couldn't bear even the thought of chocolate for the first trimester. I'm making up for it now though!

teaandtantrums90 · 22/04/2020 16:28

I've gone off absolutely everything with a smell or taste haha 😂

Luckystar1 · 22/04/2020 16:35

Chicken. I’m 17 weeks and I still can’t cope with it. Also anything in a creamy sauce particularly something like macaroni cheese, all those soft textures together, it makes me shudder!

Bienentrinkwasser · 22/04/2020 16:36

Everything. I can’t stand 99% of foods. I will tolerate a few really plain things.

Jeca8 · 22/04/2020 16:49

I went off coffee right away ( used to have at least 3 cups a day) suddenly the smell just made me soooo sick. veg - made a batch of veg soup and couldn’t even open the fridge cause the smell made me boke! And mustard further down the line was eating it on my sandwiches and one day just couldn’t eat it anymore. I’m 22 weeks and just had my first cup of coffee in 5 months lol

ChickenDipper28 · 22/04/2020 17:22

Completely went off the smell of coffee right from the start!
Nearly 16 weeks and still can't manage chilli con carne (think it's the paprika smell!)

Lozz22 · 22/04/2020 17:29

I went off chocolate and suddenly craved lots and lots of spicy stuff and pickled stuff. Biggest sign I was Pregnant. Took me weeks after my miscarriage to be able to bring myself to eat a bar of chocolate again

Jay0512 · 22/04/2020 20:42

Also gone off tea, which is a shame because I LOVE a good cup of tea! We even bought decaf because I used to drink so much, those haven’t been touched!

GoBackToPartyCity · 22/04/2020 20:44

Mince. The smell, the texture...everything!

puppypeach · 22/04/2020 20:53

I've really gone off meat!
Used to be the biggest meat eater and now I've not eaten it for two weeks and cooking it for my partner makes me gag

mrs87 · 22/04/2020 21:27

Raw chicken, and the thought of mince Confused

toomuchteaandcake · 22/04/2020 23:45

Soup! And broccoli.

fluffies · 23/04/2020 00:06

I used to love coffee but unfortunately can no infer drink it makes me sick quite badly like
The exorcist haha 😂

rhia22 · 23/04/2020 01:03

My dad makes this lush pea and ham soup I usually would have like 3 bowls, I had one spoonful, gagged and spat it out it literally tasted like wee!

123456kent · 23/04/2020 07:35

All of these things are ringing very true for me, my first trimester was so awful. The smell of the fridge... the thought of food making me gag, trying to work out what I could force down and find the balancing act between being hungry and feeling so sick I couldn’t eat...
I’m pleased to say that at 40 weeks I have a multitude of problems but any issues with food are firmly long gone. There’s nothing I couldn’t/wouldn’t eat and nothing makes me feel ill at all. The turning point for me was, like for most people, around 12 weeks. Although I carried on feeling sick for quite a while longer, my appetite became more normal
