We should have about £1300 saved by the end of the month which originally I thought might be enough.
We'd like to get a new pram/travel system and new car seat, furniture and blankets and things, I'm happy to get some second-hand clothes but I'm starting to wonder if it will be enough?

Posted too soon
Sleephead nest/baby bath and lots of other stuff off fb
And bought clothes over the course of 6 months so didnt feel like it was a huge expense.
So spent way less than £1300 myself.

We got gifted a few bits but i think its more than doable on your budget

I'm late to the party here, but I just dug out my spreadsheet from pre DS (oooh I love a spreadsheet!)

We spent roughly £1,200 on pre-birth stuff, all new (but I shopped around and was fairly cheap in some areas). This included about £600 on buggy (babyzen yoyo and various accessories), £115 on a car seat. MiL later bought us a very nice breast pump, bottles, steriliser, so that would add another £300 I'd imagine. If you are mostly buying second hand, I think you can do this very happily. Good luck!

Hey I thought would cost loads but Iv got lots of stuff new and still low budget:

Got a whole travel system from Infababy (the ultimo travel system) was highly rated, with car seat, adaptors, lie down and sit up pram (can face parent or world) it's fab and was only 360, this was our biggest saving, it's really similar to icandy peach!

New tutti bambini cot and drawers/changer set from kiddies kingdom for 320 including mattress, cot changes into a bed and drawers convert for later on.

Baby nest- pureflo from online4baby for 40 (was looking at sleepyhead but these cost a bomb)

Change bag- amazon for 20 (think it's called fifibear)

Chicco next to me crib- 60 off marketplace and 27 for mattress on eBay

827 spent so far, more in need of the cheaper bits now like clothes etc
