28 week midwife appointment

Hi!

So my 25 week midwife appointment is completely cancelled, not even a phone call, which I can deal with, but the receptionist admitted someone should have let me know by now when I rang up to see what was happening... a good thing I rang up to check really!

So my question is... at the 28 week midwife appointment is it the usual listening to the heartbeat, urine test and blood pressure or is there a blood test or anything else I've missed that they didn't do at the 16 week appointment? Thanks :)

They take blood, you may get a gestational diabetes test, and if you are rhesus negative you get the anti d injection.

Do they measure your bump as well?

28 weeks they do full blood tests, just been told that they adding in 2 new ones and not offering the diabetes one anymore (in my area), they will do wee check, blood pressure, listen to heartbeat and measure your bump x

Thanks ladies, that's so helpful :) I can't wait to hear her again!! I worry if there's ever a day where I don't feel much movement, I'm too anxious for pregnancy! Lol :)

I was wondering about this sort of thing as well. Was due to have my 25 week apt on Monday and they rang yesterday (!) to cancel it.

In my area they only do a 25 week apt for the first baby, so I'm wondering why they have that one anyway? Is it just extra reassurance for first timers? Or is there something they might have been picking up on just a couple of weeks sooner?
