hi am looking at getting a carrier for baby and am torn between ergobaby omni 360 or ergobaby embrace I am wanting something that is easy to put on when am on my own and that won't hurt my back when carrying baby and possibly something I can wear in house to do chores has anyone used either if these and would recommend??

Yes I have the omni 360 (the mesh one) for my 8 month old and I love it. Easy to put on, secure, doesn’t hurt my back and he can wriggle and kick his legs as much as he likes. He also loves facing forward and seeing around. I take it everywhere now in the basket of the pushchair as he gets restless and wants out and he’s now too heavy for me to carry in my arms for very long. Also brilliant for airports and travelling.

We had the omni 360 and it was fantastic. I found it really easy to put on by myself. We used it from about 6 weeks until he was over 1, and for the first 6 months it was his main transport - we didn’t bother with the pram. Used it mainly in front carry facing in, sometimes he’d face out, and when he was about 1 we used the back carry on holiday.

I’m pregnant again and looking forward to using it for baby 2! Will hopefully mean I can avoid a double buggy as my plan is to keep DS in the pram and use the sling for the new one for the first 6 months.

I don’t know anything about the other model though.

@excitednerves what is the difference between the mesh one and normal one ?

@harrierm87 thank you for your reply, we just bought a cheap mothercare one with our first little boy but we both hated it and also I found it hurt my back after carrying baby for longer than 20mins so am looking to spending more on this one as would like to use more this time so its good to hear your using it again xx

@khall84 it’s supposed to be lighter and more breathable. No idea if it makes a massive difference or not though. I’m a sucker for a sales pitch!

@excitednerves thank you I will look into that as I would take on holiday with me as well so the mesh might be the better option xx

Can I resurrect this thread to ask if anyone agrees with the Mumsnet review that the 360 is better than the 360 omni cool mesh? I'm trying to decide which to go for!
