7+5 and 12 wk scan seems so far away

I'm currently 7+5 and my 12 week scan cannot come quick enough. I had bad news at my last 12 wk scan. Surely I cannot be so unlucky again.... looking for inspiration or people experiencing the same worry x

I hear you. This is my first pregnancy but I feel like I have way too much time on my hands to think because of corona and barely leaving the house!

BuffaloCauliflower · 13/04/2020 17:11

I’m 8+5 and my scan is 4 weeks away. Feels ages. I’ve had a MC before but never made it as far as a scan, also worried about bad news there. Though all the statistics say only around 1-5% of MCs are missed, but you seem to hear of a lot them here

Twinberry · 13/04/2020 17:19

I’ve been there and absolutely know the feeling. I think in many ways the first few weeks of pregnancy are the hardest mentally, especially after loss. It all goes much quicker from 12 weeks. I think it’s completely normal to feel like you do x

Furbabymum15 · 13/04/2020 17:22

@Peachypetite I totally agree , way too much time to think. It's mentally exhausting x

@ BuffaloCauliflower, I'm sorry to hear of your loss it's soul destroying isn't it, I havent got a scan date yet but I had an early scan last week and they put my date back a week which extends the wait lol. Im sure your scan will be fine it's all the waiting and worrying ❤️

@TwinBerry sorry to hear you had a similar experience it's awful! It's taken me 7 yrs to try again because of the fear and now I'm 42 which makes me more anxious......I can only hope and pray. X I hope you're well 🙃

Time goes sooo slowly! People keep saying to me 'blimey hasn't time gone fast?' No it bloody hasn't 😂 i'm 22 weeks and feel like i have an absolute life time left! However, it's all an exciting process.

Sending positivity and best wishes to all 🤞🏻

BuffaloCauliflower · 13/04/2020 17:33

Thanks @Furbabymum15. I actually dealt with the last loss well (DH was more upset) as I knew it was a possibility and didn’t get my hopes up too much. But a second would be much harder, especially after making it so much further. I keep reminding myself pregnancies have to go well sometimes as we’re all here! 12 weeks does seem a very long wait.

Bezalelle · 13/04/2020 17:36

Feels like a lifetime! The wait between the 12-week and 20-week seems endless too.

Pumpkin108 · 13/04/2020 17:46

Yes I feel the same, I’m 9 weeks today and have my 12 week scan 3 weeks tomorrow. I did have an early scan 3 weeks ago which helped but to be honest seems like ages ago now and time feels like it’s going SO slowly!

Furbabymum15 · 13/04/2020 18:05

@Oldestchild90s it's exciting but gut wrenching, wow 22 weeks congratulations x

@peachypetite @Furbabymum15 I’m so glad it’s not just me! I’m going insane! No midwife appointment for another 3 weeks and who know when our scan will be 🤷🏽‍♀️😭 I’ve just checked if I can get an early one and still we would have to wait until the first week of May😔

Not to mention today all my symptoms seem to have disappeared and I’m terrified something’s gone wrong 😭

Furbabymum15 · 13/04/2020 18:07

@Bezalele it always seems to go fast for other people xx I hope you're feeling ok?

@Pumpkin108 I feel your pain waiting..... Three weeks tho, u can do this xx I had a scan last Tuesday and I'm same it seems so long ago I wonder is all still ok x

peachypetite · 13/04/2020 18:09

@2108Ta try not to worry I have heard it’s completely normal for symptoms to come and return. I have spent the last week feeling nauseous all day, today I have nothing but so off food I’ve hardly eaten anything all day and just feel.....hollow

Furbabymum15 · 13/04/2020 18:16

@2108 aww bless u, I know how u feel. I think my midwife app is 9 days away but no idea about my scan.
I'm like u everyday I check if my boobs still hurt. I've not had any sickness which I'm worried about x

It's a mind game but reward fingers crossed 🤞

BuffaloCauliflower · 13/04/2020 18:17

@2108Ta symptoms can go up/down/in/out constantly as your body adapts to the hormones. We’re all different too. I’ve had a whole variation over the last 6 weeks, but haven’t been sick once

Aly92 · 13/04/2020 18:20

I’m four and a half weeks but I found out over a week ago so it’s feeling like Grover. I just want to get to 8 weeks like tomorrow so I can get a private scan urgh 😩😭

Aly92 · 13/04/2020 18:20

Forever

2108Ta · 13/04/2020 18:27

@Furbabymum15 @peachypetite Thank you both. 🥰
I’m the same, I’ve been feeling sick but no sickness and as of today my boobs feel absolutely fine, nor do I feel tired or sick! I think I’m worrying more because I can’t even phone the midwifery centre as it’s just an automated message and there’s no-one to actually talk to and ask! I understand it’s a difficult time for everyone but it would just be nice to speak to someone.

2108Ta · 13/04/2020 18:28

@BuffaloCauliflower Thank you nice tray made me anxious today, but I did sleep particularly well last night and had a bit more of a lay-in today so maybe that’s why 🤞🏼🤞🏼

sel2223 · 13/04/2020 18:31

I'm nearly 23 weeks now and I feel like I've been pregnant forever.....time is going so slowly and lockdown isn't helping!
The first trimester is the worst and I imagine even more so if you've experienced loss before.

Furbabymum15 · 15/05/2020 08:29

So today is the day for my 12 wk scan ( in 10 minutes) and I am absolutely shitting my pants 🤮
