Expected day of period- clear blue result

Now I know some of you might say I should not have taken a test because I know I’m pregnant. But I had one leftover clear blue test so thought why not see. I was going to wait until I was five weeks to see but lost patience. I’m 4 weeks and 4 days today.

Today is my expected period date. The clear blue weekly indicator says 3 plus although when I did it exactly a week ago it came up two to three weeks since conception. So according to this I’m at least five weeks pregnant.? I don’t know. Anyone else had this happen to them. It would be nice if I’m a bit more ahead than I think simply for the fact of booking myself in for a scan a bit easier.

If anyone else got this can you share what happened when you finally had your first scan?

I know exactly the day of conception and date of previous period with both pregnancy. Dating scan was 7 days different from expected both times. You really can't be very accurate and even the scans they say have a week error either way. It's strange that we even get a due date really. Better to get a due week!

I’m just desperate to get a early private scan booked in and I have so many weeks to go yet. I just want to see baby and see it’s ok. I’ve never got a positive so early in the past the earliest was the day before period. So hoping this one sticks

I knew my dates exactly, went to the EPU with bleeding and they changed by dates by 5 days and then by the 12 weeks scan they'd realigned with what I'd worked out/known in the first place.

But if you don't think you're over 5 weeks you could just have higher HCG than the scales the rest uses, clear blue are known for having the dates as a bit of a comic.

Hello hope that you are doing great... I would like to ask u some questions. Actually I am pregnant 4 weeks 5days.same like you. The thing is that I took a test with the salt and urine around 6 or 7 days after ovulation. And the test turn out positive all the times till today as I checked on youtube. Well I work frm 8am to 7pm coz of the virus and everywhere is close so no chance for me to get a test from pharmacy. I did have 2 only just Saturday and it was negative. I have all the symptoms but not spotting and sore breast. I feel pregnant. And after I checked 1 of the test like 2 hours after I saw a faint line. Can u help please.

I did a strip today too and the test and control line were as dark as each other. So maybe the hcg level is high. Maybe twins? Wishful thinking 😂 oh wow that just shows we really do know best . And thanks!

Have you tried a clear blue? Maybe wait a few days again and try again

It's been a long time for me but I'm sure I read that it never gets any higher than 3 weeks plus, just doesn't put any other numbers on there, like if you were 8 months pregnant it would still just say 3 weeks plus if that makes sense?

yup the three plus is the highest it goes. I was just surprised because today was the day of my expected period and I got the three weeks plus.

@Aly92 Hi, I had almost the exact thing happen to me today too and have been looking on here for some answers.. how funny!
So 1 week + 1 day ago I did a clear blue digital and it said 1-2weeks, then today I did the second one and got 3+ when I was expecting 2-3! So I thought I was roughly around 5 weeks but now wondering if I'm closer to 6, it's weird it's changed so much in literally 8 days though?!
Been doing HPTs every 2 or 3 days too and they seem to be progressing nicely 😄

Yeah it doesn’t make sense right. I was deffo not expecting the 3 plus I just wanted to use up the test really. Such a good progression line! Are you having a early test ?

@Aly92 Haha I wish! I'm in the same boat, would secretly love twins! Although I have to say I don't think I am pregnant with multiples as my symptoms are very minor so far and I've heard with multiples the symptoms are quite extreme even early on lol.
I am thinking of booking a private scan but thinking of waiting until 9 weeks, if I can! As I would like hubby there and want him to see the baby when it's a bit bigger as he can't come to NHS one 😔

I'm a week late but got 1-2 on a digital. I'm gonna test again on Friday before I phone maternity.

However exactly 1 week after my last period I had more days of bleeding so I'm wondering if I'm not late as I maybe ovulated late.

Book in a 8 week scan I did with my daughter last time and it was so reassuring. I’m going to wait for the scan and then tell my parents. It’s killing me keeping it a secret but I couldn’t bare to tell everyone about another mc.

Thank you sooo much girls. So it's like we are almost same weeks here. If possible we could have a group chat on messenger or something to communicate more. It's my 1st time being pregnant. Funny thing is that I work as English private teacher and nanny same time for 11 years... but dont know much thing about pregnancy. Hope all of you gonna have healthy pregnancy. Big kisses

@Aly92 just wanted to update as I had a early scan on Friday after some spotting, and definitely just one baby in there 🙈 they also put me back a week in dates so really weird I got a 3+ so quickly after my 1-2 but hey ho I guess they aren't very reliable 🙈
