Section 24hour discharge

Do you still take a shower in the hospital with a 24hour discharge after section? Last time I had a section I was in for 3 days as that was mandatory then.

I'm not sure if it was mandatory but I had a shower the morning after my section; I wanted one that night but they hadn't removed my catheter. From what I remember, it was assumed I'd want one (and I really did) but not sure anyone specifically asked or checked in the way that they did with urine output, for example.
