Fisher price 3 in 1 swing rocker vs Joie Serina 2 in 1 swing / rocker

Hi all

So I was planning on buying one of these second hand but then COVID-19 happened.

I cannot decide between the two. I’ve heard good and bad things about both.

It may help if I tell you what we would like it for. We would like the idea of the battery / mains operated swing aspect because it doesn’t require us to do this manually and hope it will soothe baby to nap or just chill out a bit whilst we eat etc.

However like the idea of it turning into a rocker so we can have baby with us around the house eg when we shower or are in the kitchen cooking etc.

A bonus of the fisher price one is definitely the longevity of the product itself compared to the Joie which only lasts until baby is 9kg (read some places that can be as early as 6 months old!) however I believe it doesn’t have a handle to transport it around the house - the toy bar isn’t a handle and I don’t fancy carrying it around under my arm with baby in the other!

Would love to hear your experiences of using either of these.

I also was contemplating buying a more simplified bouncer for the early newborn stage and then buying the fisher price one as I heard it’s better for when they are a little older eg 3 months.

Such a shame we can’t go and look at these anymore! :-(

Many thanks in advance!

Hi OP, which of them did you eventually buy?
I’m in this situation as well as I’m looking to decide between these two.

Ladies, same story here. Which one did you end up buying and what are your thoughts?

@Chuchi21 I ended up buying the Fischer price 3 in 1 swing rocker. My decision was made because of its versatility. The fact that I can detach the bouncer/seat as the child grows and use it till he is about two years old. I also prefer the front to back rocking as I believe it would be more comfortable for my baby.
How much longer have you got? I’m 39 weeks pregnant today.

My baby boy has already been born. I was originally in favour of the fisher price one for the same reasons as you plus visually it looks less bulky. but having researched further on thessubject am starting to be inclined towards the other one. Mainly because if you Google "best newborn swing" pretty much every website mentions joie Serena 2 in 1, plus it has a lot more reviews on YouTube compared to the fisher price one . Fingers crossed
