Help me ladies. Ok on the 11th of March I got a positive on a first response so I did another test ( different brand) on the Friday to have the same faint line. Since then I'm getting really faint or negative tests. I've had no bleeding and feel so the same, apart from bloating, painful boobs and tiredness. Could I still be pregnant?

I would expect your lines to have gotten darker by now, usually it only takes a few days to darken, but difficult to say 100%. Work out when you'd be 6 weeks week from date of your last period and maybe book a scan? If you've had no bleeding etc then that's a good sign, but you won't know for sure until you've been scanned.

Ok I'd say maybe book a private scan then? I can't see the emergency pregnancy unit at your local hospital giving you an emergency early scan if you don't have any symptoms, probably best to book private? X

Look up the hook effect - from memory around 6/7 weeks in your hcg levels start getting too high for hpts which starts producing a false negative.

How likely is it to be the hook effect?
