Walk or drive to antenatal appointment?

Attending 33w midwife appointment today, would usually walk (about a mile or so) suddenly second guessing myself and wondering if “safer” to drive...what do you think? I’ve got no symptoms and was taking hygiene really seriously before the advice to preg women to socially distance and we’ve been isolating since Sunday as on top of sensible social reasons and doing our part to stop the spread, neither me or OH want to be sick this close to delivery...

I would just drive if you're worried

I have been walking to the hospital, it's about a 15minutes walk for me. You would be surprised at how empty the streets are right now and it's quite nice to stretch my legs a bit.

But if you're worried, it would probably be best to drive x

Im not so much worried, more concerned about the “social shaming” where everyone and their shadow seems to be saying “STAY INSIDE PEOPLE!” I Think it’s because I object to being called “people” plus, I’ve had enough of posts telling people who are actually taking the isolation really seriously to take it seriously. I’ll lighten up tho / if the message gets to one thicko who thought they are exempt from getting the virus, I guess I can live with the OTT stay inside messages 💕

I’m driving to mine, it’s a half an hour walk away and I would gladly do it otherwise but I’ve seen an awful lot of people still waltzing around like it’s nothing so the risk isn’t worthwhile.

The people who are going to think OTT things about you being out will think them just as much about you being out in a car as walking, so really I'd say travel however you prefer.

Either is fine but the walk would count as your 'exercise' I suppose. Personally I would walk as the weather is stunning near me today
