Hi I'm hoping for some reassurance I am 38 plus 4 and just been to the toilet and there is brown blood on my panty liner but no discharge, is this normal and is it my show?

Thanks in advance

Hi - didn’t want to read and run. It could be, but best off calling the MAU to be safe. Good luck!

Brown often means old, so hopefully nothing to worry about. Best to call MAU, as pp has said and get it checked.

I had bright red blood at 39 weeks. Went in and turned out it was my waters breaking. I had DS the next day!

Good luck.

Good chance it could be your ‘bloody show’ or at least a bit of it. I had something similar a bit ago 36+5 and just happened that I was at consultant appointment when it happened. I asked her and she did a quick internal exam and said she was 90% sure it was a show. Went on for a a few days but got lighter over The two days. She said as it was browny/red not to worry but if it went bright red or clots to call mau. Hope that helps?
