Anybody else with the dreaded symptoms?

So yesterday I felt so ill that I took myself to bed feeling extremely cold and shivering even though I knew it was cold, took some paracetamol and once that kicked in I was fine.
Today I've woke up feeling fine but with a cough. I'm meant to have my 12 week scan on Thursday but I will obviously be ringing them to tell them of my symptoms as a precaution. I'm assuming my scan won't be going ahead because of this. Has anyone else been in this situation? I know the screening needs to be done before 14 weeks so I'm hoping something can be out in place so I can still have a scan soon.

Hello I don't know where you are based but when I had my 12 week scan I was actually 15 weeks and they were still able to do the NT screening. It took a bit longer to get results because they had to send them somewhere further away but just to reassure you it's still possible.

Oh you poor thing! I went for a run this morning and kept coughing when I got back but I think it might’ve just been pollen or just general lack of fitness!

Have you got a telephone number for your midwife? Maybe give them a ring. I’m in London and there are definitely women with symptoms now and I think that some of the midwifery teams are splitting into two so those fitted with the proper masks etc dealing with those displaying symptoms etc.

Anyway I’m sure they will get any of the crucial testing necessary done for you somehow. Try not to worry x
