Hi all. For last few days I've been feeling like I'm coming down with a cold and now it actually kicked in. I have a runny nose and sneeze non-stop, i don't have a fever or cough. I'm taking paracetamol 1cp every 12 hrs and drink ginger, lemon and honey tea but i would love to learn about other remedies you guys have tried and worked?
Thank you all.

What symptoms are actually bothering you? I'd avoid paracetamol unless you really need it.

I have no energy, i have my nose stuffed with toilet paper, sneeze non stop and feel a sore throat may be imminent as well.

Well, the best remedy for no energy is probably sleep. Sore throat you can use honey and lemon and I think maybe (but check beforehand) Jakeman's Lozenges.

I’ve been unwell for a week now..horrid cold, proper bunged up, cough, no temp, headache and feel exhausted..21w preg, been trying paracetamol, honey, lemon, no improvement. Called a gp today and she thinks it’s a sinusitis so gave me penicillin, amoxicillin I think. Said should get better in 2-3days, otherwise I’ll need to be seen..really exhausted from it now. Hope you’ll feel better soon .

paracetamol they are perfectly safe in pregnancy

There's some evidence to suggest that it may cause infertility in your offspring. It's quite new and not concrete enough for the NHS to change their guidance yet, but worth being aware of. Personally, I wouldn't take it unless absolutely desperate.

My cold is getting worse. Running nose, sneezing, mucusy chesty cough, even my lungs are hurting this morning.
My GP thinks it is unlikely it's Covid-19 which is good news and more likely a common cold. Unfortunately paracetamol is not helping me feel better in the slightest. 😭😭😭

Even so, I hope you're self isolating.
