Does Cyclogest give bad cramping symptoms ??

Sorry if this question has been asked before , im brand new to this forum ...

I was just wondering if anyone has had really bad stomach cramps whilst using cyclogest ... I’m 5wk 5 and was given these from the RMC after 4 previous miscarriages

I’m convinced these pains are the start of a miscarriage again , but could this possibly be an effect of the progesterone or the stretching of uterus ? I’m just trying to convince myself it’s anything but the start of a miscarriage Sad

Any advice appreciated Smile

Hi @HollieBx I’m on cyclogest (3x400mg per day) I’ve had cramps all the way since 4 weeks - I’m now 9+5. I’ve had 2 scans so far - one at EPU and one private and both showed a little a bean with a heartbeat so I’m trying to stay positive.
My cramps are what I’d call painful, more annoying and uncomfortable at times and sporadic. I have considered that they could be caused by the cyclogest but I really don’t know it cold also be due to things stretching and growing.
Hope you’re ok

Ahhh thanks @Prettylittlelady for getting back to me ... and thanks for the reassurance ... I suppose you can’t help but think the worst when all the previous pregnancies ended the same way Sad

Wishing you so much luck for you and your little bean xxxx

Hi, I’m just wondering how you are doing as I woke up last night with severe stomach cramps and I was sweating a lot, I phoned the hospital in a panic and wondered if it’s the cyclogest to? I’m so worried about taking one again in case I get the awful cramps! Any help is appreciated :)
Thank you

@HollieBx
How you doing? Have your cramps stopped? I am currently 21weeks and on cyclogest due to pre term labour 2 years ago. I have severe lower abdominal cramping, been to the hospital its not a sign of labour thank god! But i can only think of it being down to the cyclogest!
I can hardly sleep anymore.
Hope your cramps are better x

Hi everyone,

I was on cyclones twice a day until 15 weeks.
Yes, I did have cramps earlier on, but they do subside.
I’ve stopped taking the pessaries and now worried that will affect my pregnancy!

The constant worry never stops

Cyclones hahhaha

Hi everyone, I’m 5 weeks 3 days and since 4 weeks 4 days I’ve had cramps, not sure whether it’s cyclogest? I’ve had spotting but think it’s my cervix that’s doing it. HollieBx was your pregnancy all ok? And was it the cyclogest?

Hi babydust201 I'm also experiencing cramps I keep convincing myself that aunt flow is coming but nothing. I'm really bloated and feel sick constantly so I'm taking that as a positive sighn. I tested positive after 9 years on Wed and started on them straight away as directed by my doctor. They make me feel sore inside and I generally have felt shocking since being on them! But here's to the sticky baby dust and keeping everything crossed this one's here to stay x
