Dress/outfit to hide bump

I'm only 11 weeks pregnant (2nd child) but already have a definite bump.

It is my sons birthday at the end of the month and we are having a big party at a soft play place on the 21st. I haven't told his father yet (different Dad to new pregnancy) and I'm trying not to until after DS birthday, for various reasons, but mainly because I don't want the drama he will create to spoil the celebrations.

I need to find an outfit, preferably a dress, that will hide/disguise the bump from ex and his mum and sister.

Does anyone have any ideas? Budget not very big, I'm a size 14 and very tall.

Thanks

New look and H&M have got quite a few non maternity looking dresses, I find layering the easiest way to hide bump. H&M even have no maternity massive puff dresses - depending on your style! X

Long scarves!

Loveitifwemadeit · 09/03/2020 13:30

Oh I forgot h&m did maternity clothes, I'll have a look. Even if it makes me look just a bit fat that will be preferable for now haha

A long scarf is a good idea but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep it on, soft play places are SO HOT!

Embrace the ambiguous waistline!

BooHoo have got a smock dress that I wear all the time at the moment, think I got mine from ASOS that was about £12, it hangs but still feels nice to wear too and super comfy x

@ConstantlyPanicking thanks, do you have a pic/link? I'm looking in boohoo at the mo but everything is so hit and miss on there

I think also some loose, dark colour top, and a cardigan on the top is great for hiding bumps, good luck.

I had this in a different colour, only £20 and definitely hides the bump!

How about a 50s style dress with a puffy skirt...

Mention to one of the women in passing that you aren’t going to have any cake because you are on a diet.

An empire line dress can disguise a bump.

Maybe try a loose peplum top or one of those tiered smock style dresses with ankle boots and a scarf

Really hope this link works!

Highly recommend this one! I'm now 24 weeks and show very obviousky in anything clingy but a couple of people have said you'd never know in this.

Smock dresses are everywhere at the moment! Wear with a pair of thick tights and ankle boots.

I love them as I can eat loads and you can’t tell so they would definitely hide a bump. They’re really comfy too.
