Back Pain in Early Pregnancy!!!

I'm 5wks +5 and for the last 5 days I've had excruciating back pain. It comes and goes depending on what I'm doing or have done. Worse with sitting for a while. The pain is where the two dimples of my back are then radiates around my hips to my hip flexors and down the front of my legs to my knee. It's a dull ache then shooting pains around my hips and to my knees. I have always had back issues so preempted this sort of thing, but this is different to previous recurrent back pain which was one side sciatica down the back of the leg. The pain switches from side to side or both sides.

I've been dismissed by GP and 111 now who told me to take ibuprofen!?! Which I haven't of course. At times the pain is so bad I'm doubled over leaving on the bed/chair/kitchen side just rocking from side to side. It puts me in an awful mood too.

Being so early in the pregnancy is this an indication of something being wrong or is this just completely normal? I haven't yet found anyone on Google with the same issues this early in their pregnancy. Symptoms are very similar to PGP.

Anyone else?

It might be something completely unrelated like sciatica. The shooting down your legs sounds like it’s that.

However I did have that through my pregnancy and it was shocking.

@Fia89 I dont have an answer I'm afraid but thought I would post as I am having that too, 5w+1 and if I stand for too long my lower back is in agony! And also goes round into my hip flexors. And then it improves if I sit or have a lay down.
I've just adapted things, so my work have reduced my hours as that's when I'm on my feet the most, and I just get home and have a lay down when I can.

@biscuit13
Thank you so much! That's exactly what I've got. Ahh I feel so much better now :)

@emptywallet

Yes it could be completely unrelated. I'm so glad there are other people with the same pain! Not that I want you to be in pain of course, but we're not alone and that alleviates my anxiety.

I had this in the early stages of my pregnancy. The pain got so bad I thought I was losing him. He's now 18. HTH xxxx

@Fia89 that's ok, just thought it would make you feel better of you knew you weren't the only one. It is annoying but i think it's just normal aches and pains of things changing. Especially if you're susceptible to back pain. Hopefully it will ease up for both of us!
