Impatiently waiting first scan

I'm around 8 weeks, and I'm just so worried something is wrong. I've been debating an early scan (my partner keeps talking me out of it) because the wait for my first ultrasound is killing me. I just want to know baby is developing properly and I'm not imagining the whole thing lol. Anyone else feel the same?

I'm 8+4 today and I am so excited for our first scan. I have the occasional niggling fear of "what if" but it passes. Got my booking in appointment on Tuesday which is our first milestone. Then have the the wait for the scan date which I'm hoping is within 2 weeks so I have a short countdown.
I know some people pay for an early scan but we cannot justify the cost when we are now saving for the new arrival. I'm sure the NHS know what they're doing in terms of when scans are needed. Trust your body and enjoy to ride x
