Brown discharge at 22 weeks pregnant

Hi
I am looking to see if anyone had anything similar throughout their pregnancies to see what the outcome was / hopefully get some reassurance.
I’m 22 weeks and have had brown discharge for 2 weeks now. During this time had the anomaly scan and everything was fine but I was concerned when it got heavier and slightly pinker so went to the day assessment unit. Urine samples came back fine, swab sample for infection still pending but I have no other infection symptoms. Examination showed cervix was closed and I heard baby’s heartbeat which they said sounded good. I have been feeling baby moving but have had some cramping.
The hospital said to come back if blood became heavier or brighter but I feel really nervous now. Placenta is posterior and high but was told that looked good during the scan.
Any similar experiences?
TIA x

I had lots of bleeding and spotting throughout my pregnancy - light, heavy, red, pink, brown, all sorts! DD was absolutely fine throughout and is now a healthy 8 month old.

It’s really scary when you see it isn’t it, but I think it’s not at all uncommon. Just keep speaking with your midwives and/or going into day assessment unit whenever you’re concerned.

I know it’s stressful not knowing what’s going on in there, but try to have faith - everything was fine on the scan and you can feel baby moving.

Thanks for your message @YakkityYakYakYak. I’m so pleased that it was ‘one of those things’ for you and you now have a healthy little one!

I really knew something wasn’t right so went to the hospital and another internal examination shows either a polyp on the cervix or - because this was not noted on the notes from Friday - membrane where the cervix may be partially opening. Pre term labour and resuscitation of babies from 22 weeks (which I am exactly today) was discussed which has absolutely terrified me and am now waiting for specialists to come see me with a transfer to a bigger hospital today in case baby is on the way :(

Does anyone have experience of this?

I just wanted to reply to send support for whatever today brings, and to give this post a bit of a bump so hopefully someone who has been in a similar position can give some advice.

Hi. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant & had very very tiny bit of brownish discharge. I was wondering what the results was with you? Hoping positive!
