Hi all.
Just suffering quite a bit during this pregnancy would love some support and others to talk to.
Cut long story short... up til 20week preg everything was going fine (had a kidney infection at 8weeks) but other than that just mild nausea.
At 20wk told baby has a lethal form of skeletal dysphasia. Have had amnio test and been referred to two specialist hosps all have confirmed a lethal form of SD. Don't know the exact type until baby is born.
To add to all this I have polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid) so I'm constantly rock hard and uncomfortable (currently 25weeks) I look huge.
Just come back from delivery suite as had back pain and I have a UTI.
In addition, waiting on results from another urine test for possible gestational diabetes.
I'm so low. Sad at the thought of my baby not surviving birth. (Termination was mentioned but DP and I don't want this). These next three months were supposed to be a happy exciting time but everything has been turned upside for us.

Really worried about polyhydramnios but no ones really said much about it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well, at least they're considering the possibility of him being born alive; that's positive. Fingers crossed for you all x

Jesskir89 · 11/03/2020 22:31

Op it's great you got a lot of answers I'm keeping everything crossed for you all Flowers

Thanks all ☺️ very nervous for my scan next week, but I'd rather have him scanned again to keep on top of his measurements etc.. 🙏💙

I do have a new anxiety now. Seeing as he will most definitely have breathing problems when he's born I can't help but panic over Coronavirus. What if he's breathing better than expected, but needs some support and then he catches the virus and it all goes south from there. I'm terrified that Lucas will be okay, but then this comes along and messes it up.

I know I shouldn't worry about something out which is out of my control, but it's just another problem added and my anxiety is going through the roof.

☹️

I'm so sorry that you, your DH, and little Lucas have to go through such tough times! I cannot imagine the pain and fear. Just want to send positive vibes and hugs your way. Hope everything turns out fine! Flowers

Op how you getting on x

MisssC3025 · 24/03/2020 21:21

@Jesskir89 hi lovely.
I'm not too bad. Got a bit upset earlier that my scan got cancelled today, but I totally understand why. It's a scan I requested to see how he's doing, so it wasn't considered a essential scan like 12 and 20 week scans would be. I won't know exact liquor level either now🤦🏻‍♀️ but last few days I haven't felt too huge 🤞🏼! I have another scan on 14th April, so will call closer to the time to see what's what with that one. I doubt much will change in two weeks though🤦🏻‍♀️ this is all a nightmare isn't it! Can't quite believe we're going through this!

At least I'm safe at home and DP is off work too, so we can stay in and protect ourselves!

How are you? I don't think I found out how many weeks you were? Hope you're okay and keeping safe?

Xx

Hi op sorry for the delay my dh went back to work yesterday :( ds freddie was born on Friday 13th by emergency c section, all is well thank you.
What have they said your fluid level is? 14th April isn't too far away hun and hopefully you'll have more answers then x

MisssC3025 · 15/04/2020 14:47

Hi @Jesskir89 sorry for the long reply back.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy! I hope you're both keeping well??

Had my appointment and didn't get much out of it really. His limbs have grown but still measuring small and the chest couldn't be measure ☹️ but I could imagine it still be small too as the arms were. Everything else was normal size.

I have been given the option to be induced in 4weeks time (more so for my own wellbeing then it being best for baby)

I have no idea about inductions and if it's a good idea to do this or whether I should just wait until it naturally happens. Have contacted my MW for advice I'm yet to hear from her.

Anyone reading this with any experience or advice on induction vs natural birth I would greatly appreciate it.

Xx

Op were doing well thank you. I was induced and I won't lie towards the end it was very intense as they increased the drip so I opted for an epidural. Have they offered you a c section? Hope you're doing OK xx

Goldenmother · 26/04/2020 15:22

@MisssC3025 how are things how are you doing ?

MisssC3025 · 27/04/2020 12:12

@Goldenmother hi. Thanks for the post. I've been very quiet as each day is a struggle.

Update is I'm choosing an induction for 38wks. So 3wks time. We are both extremely anxious, but at least an induction means we will both be mentally prepared and things can be prepared at the hospital end of things.

Just want to hold my baby so much! I hope I can hold him for as long as possible 💙💙

Hope you're all well and safe x

@MisssC3025 I've been trying to find this post for weeks as I've not stopped thinking about you. How did you get on? How are you and DP? Xx
