Car seat/ isofix help please

I am getting an egg pram and trying to google which car seat and isofix base is compatible with an egg but it's very conflicting advise so thought wise mumsnetters may be a good shout !
I would like to know Isit possible to get an isofix base that will be suitable for first car seat and a second stage one ? Ideally would only like to buy once if possible .
Also which car seats do ou advise would ideally like one that lays quite flat but this is not a necessity.

Also I've been reading online about certain bases not fitting in certain cars .. we will be ordering online so no way to check until it's here

Any advise would be appreciated x

It's possible but not if you want it to put carseat on pram only if you want the carseat to remain in the car, cyber do great car seats but expensive x

The majority of second stage car seats don't use a base as they are not designed to be removed from the car in the same way as a first stage infant carrier. I think maxi Cosi make one that uses a base to make it easier to swap seats between cars.

Yeah it’s possible we’ve just bought our egg & gone for the cybex car seat and base , quite pricy but it’s what you’ve asked for as the base can be used for the next stage car seat x

Thanks ladies .. and what if I just wanted first stage car seat if lots of second stage seats don't have isofix .. what would you recommend ? Do they come with adapters x

multi car seat adapters. There are several seats listed that work with the adapters - all are good quality seats, you would need to check which ones are compatible with your car.

If you go on the manufacturer's website they usually have a list of which cars are compatible with which seats. I know Cybex have that as I had to check for my vauxhall Adam.

I have a besafe bsby car seat and toddler seat the both fit on the same isofix base. I don't think there are many out there but I can recommend this one if it fits with your pram. There's a long list of cats the base fits with on the besafe website too.

Cybex iCloud lays flat outside of car and the next stage seat fits on the same isofix base

I have the Egg pram. There are a few carseats with isofix that you can get which attach with the Egg care seat adaptors. I have the Cybex Cloud Z first stage and plan to get the Cybex second stage car seat which uses the same isofix base.
The Egg website will tell you which other brands are compatible.
