anyone had c.v.s test

hi, ive just had 3 month scan and am in high risk for ds. hospital have suggested c.v.s test but has 1% chance of miscarriage. has anyone had this test. would really appreciate your experience.

My story is slightly different - my blood tests were fine (didn't have the nuch. scan though) and we really didn't think twice about anything bad happening. I was 27 and healthy. We ended up having a stillborn DD at 35 weeks. Later on we found out she had DS...

So I guess what at times people forget to mention is that having a baby with DS doesn't mean that the baby will actually survive. Needless to say that loosing her at 35 weeks pg was more than words could describe.

The great news is that we actually have a wonderful and healthy DS (19 months!). I opted for amnio with him just because I was SOOOO afraid of mc and my blood work and nuch. scan were fine with him.

We would absolutely have a c.v.s next time around. (We were hoping for one actually but I mc this Saturday . Oh well... I guess we will have to hope and try again ...*trying to .

If you had the test yesterday I hope it went okay. I know that you'll be on tenterhooks until you get the test results and just wanted to say that I'm thinking about you.

Kateandmom, I'm so sorry to hear about your MC and the loss of your DD. That's so sad.
