Maternity leggings recommendations

I'm looking for a pair of bog standard black maternity leggings.

Can anyone recommend any that aren't see through and won't go bad after one wash?

I'm sick of buying clothes and having to return them!

Jojo Maman Bebe served me well

I've just bought some from New Look. One lot was a pack of 2 that work out at £7.50 each, they are very comfy and stretchy but a bit thin and a teeny bit shiny (they dont go see through at all though). These are perfect to wear instead of tights with dresses and skirts.
I also picked up a £15 pair which are a lot thicker, not shiny at all and generally more 'structured' than the other ones. Id happily wear these with long jumpers and blouses.
If you can justify the cost, I have read only very good things about seraphine bamboo leggings! I might treat myself when im further down the line.

Would second jojomaman Bebe

Would third the jojo ones!! They have a money off thing on at the moment too - the cotton rich ones are the ones you want. Some of the others are more like tights materiel Hmm

ASOS premium ones are fab

Napqueen1234 · 13/02/2020 15:22

Jojo ones are ok but I noticed when I took them out my vacuum pack bag for second pregnancy they seemed a lot more worn and thin than the top shop ones I had. I also found the band at the top of the top shop ones really nice and supportive. Seraphine ones are meant to be good but are $$$!

Asda ones are really good. I'm using the ones I had for DC1 with DC2.

I just got a larger size of the Primark £4 leggings. They are lovely and soft and are a true black and not see through.

H&M mama ones are alright for the bump bit, but shite as they go sort I'd see through when worn.

I got mine from Seraphine (pic attached). They are £19 but they are sooooo comfy, feel like you are wearing a pair of tights.

I had some from Asda - charcoal not black, with a slight pattern (see pic). They're maternity leggings with a ruche up the sides. I think they were about £12.

Ended up going straight back to get some more as soon as I tried them on. They hold everything in, but are still comfortable. Shouldn't go bobbly either, or sag.

I can't stand the ones that are so see-through they show your pants!

H&M Mama ones are pretty good, over bump style with lots of stretch. Only downside is they are soooo long, I’m only 5’ 3” and drown in them.

js30 · 13/02/2020 18:55

H &m ones 100%!!! I've lived in my 4 pairs of them and am going to heartbroken when I have to stop wearing them 😂they're so so comfortable x

Another vote for H&M. All their maternity clothes including leggings have served me well through both pregnancies 👍🏻
