Hi all
I am 19 weeks and have only gained 2 pounds during the pregnancy so far. My bump is really big, my Jean's are about 4 inches too small around the waist. I dont understand why my bump is so big but I've not gained any weight? I'll speak to my midwife when I go in a couple of weeks but thought I'd see if anyone has had the same. I dont know whether I should be worrying about this, or if I'm just being overly anxious.

In the first trimester there were 7 weeks where I just ate bread. So far in second trimester I've had low blood pressure , heart palpitations and low ferritin levels. Iron tablets have helped massively with that and i feel almost normal.
I'd say my diet was average. Since week 14 I have my 5 a day and eat whole grains etc. Though every day I eat something chocolatey. My glucose was high at last modwife appointment (I'd had a pain au chocolate for breakfast) but been normal at the two other checks.
What are peoples opinions? Do I need to worry?

I wouldn't think you'd need to worry. In my first pregnancy I gained way below average weight and my bump was tiny, measured 33w when I was 38w! Every woman carries differently.

So long as your midwife has no concerns then you should be fine. Do mention it at your upcoming 20w scan though.

I'm 22 weeks and currently a stone and a half lighter than I was when I conceived.

Neither the midwife or the consultant have been concerned, but that might be (in the words of my kind, supportive, mother) because I had 'enough weight to spare' 🤦‍♀️
