Not sure if this is the right place for this post, but im hoping someone would have a similar experience. 🙂

I am 9 weeks pp and exclusively breast feeding, I started the mini pill last week and I started bleeding over the weekend. I bf my first dc and went on the same pill but didnt get my period until almost a year after birth. So I am wondering am I now going to have period once a month because of the pill or is it just heavy spotting due to body getting used to the hormones in pill that will stop again.

Feeling a little cheated out of one of the breast feeding perks ☺

It will probably be bleeding associated with the mini pill as it can cause breakthrough bleeding/spotting. It may or may not calm down, only time will tell

My baby is EBF, 7 months now, and I'm on my 6th pp period 😕

I had bleeding on and off for first month being on mini pill but nothing since (6 months). My dr said it could happen while hormones adjust so maybe give it a few weeks and see what happens.

Thank you for your replies

@dementedpixie hopefully calms down

@BeautifulBirds im sorry to hear that, u really were cheated... do u think the pill has caused that?

@plixy thats good to know, thank you. I have been getting bad mood swings since starting it too so because of that combined with bleeding I was thinking of stopping, but I will stick it out for a month or so and see how it goes.
