Hi all 👋🏼

Got my BFP today and am approx. 4 weeks 5 days pregnant, with a provisional due date of 9th Oct (according to apps!) Need to call the midwife back later to book in my first appt but other than that don’t really know what to do so thought it might be nice to connect with people who are around the same stage!

Husband and I are both 32, it’s baby #1 and we’re extremely lucky in that it was month one of TTC. I’m very shocked, a bit terrified and really excited. Can’t wait to tell our parents but want the midwife appt out of the way first if it’s not too far away.

So, anyone due around the same time? How’re you feeling? It’s all so overwhelming!

My previous symptoms of tender nipples and cramps have gone away! While I'm pleased I have no cramps, I'm now worrying that I have no symptoms 🙈 does the worrying ever stop haha?!

No real symptoms here either!

Ohh @southcoast2 how exciting!!! That's going to fly by. I self referred on Friday and will hear back in 2 weeks time apparently.

I've got my midwife appointment on the 20th of March. That's a whole month away! Is any one else's really far in advance?

Hi @Sunshine1606 - they haven’t even sent me the appointment yet. I self referred over a week ago. Would like a date as something to aim for!

@ZsaZsaMc oh wow, have they been in touch yet? I read online that an appointment between 7 and 11 weeks is normal? I feel like I was seen the following week with my first. How are you feeling at the moment? I feel exhausted!

23rd of October for me and #1! Feeling very overwhelmed, as this wasn’t planned, contraception mishap and the Father said he wants nothing to do with it. so sat here feeling nausea, cramping, with sore boobs, eating a packet of hobnobs for comfort! I’ve been reassured that this cramping is normal, but still sending my anxiety through the roof, due to previous MCs 6 years ago!

@Sunshine1606 still no appointment and I couldn’t get through on the phone. Self referring to another hospital! Also exhausted. Can’t remember how I was feeling at 6 weeks last time, so convincing myself it’s twins!

@DressingGown87 how are you feeling now? It does get better, but the anxiety (at the best of times!) is hardest I think in the beginning

23rd October for me I think (working off my app). Baby number one for us - very excited, but also very nervous ... wish I could fast forward a few weeks
Am very tired, and started feeling nauseous this morning, but no other symptoms yet.
Got my first MW appointment on 17th March - St Patrick's Day... I'm Irish so that must be a good sign right? 😂

@ZsaZsaMc how are you doing? Hope you get the answers you want / need! All of my symptoms subsided over the weekend, and I got a burst of energy! Which hasn’t helped the anxiety. Just some mild cramping today, and tummy bubbles!! Don’t think it helps that I’m on my own, don’t have anyone to speak to in the evenings, when I’m feeling rubbish, let’s the mind go into overdrive.

@JC084 same due date as me! Congratulations! I also want the time machine!

I'm 23rd of October too! (According to my apps anyway.) Which apps are you all using? I'm using pregnancy + and am just fascinated by the change that takes place every week!

@ZsaZsaMc Its rubbish that they are being so useless and definitely seems like a good idea to go to another hospital. Eek twins!?

@Dressinggown87 exciting that your scan is next Monday! Mine is on the 16th of April. Soooo far away! Sorry to hear that you're feeling anxious in the evenings, do you have any friends or family to talk to?

I feel like I'm having cravings and aversions but don't know if it's all in my head. I'm spotting really light pink from time to time which has me googling on overdrive but spoke to a local midwife who said it's normal.. still can't help worrying.

@sunshine1606 I’m also using the pregnancy + app. Going off conception date it’s 5+3 but less going off last period 5+1.

I was full of symptoms last week, and cravings. But they’ve all subsided, so don’t know if they where in my head either!

I had quite a lot of miscarriages years ago with my exP, then went to a private clinic who told me the chances of having a baby naturally where slim. So I gave up all hope, so this BFP came as a shock! I thought it was jet lag! Doctor ran tests and found out I was pregnant and they referred me to EPAU for an early scan, which they will do every week until 12weeks. As I was shocked, I told a few close friends, but they are generally busy with their own family’s in the evening, so it’s quiet lonesome! Especially when I come home knackered from work, the last thing I want to be doing is cooking a meal!

@DressingGown87 sounds like you've had a tough time. What a lovely surprise for you though. I hope the scan next week goes well! Yes totally appreciate everyone is busy in their own lives and if you need to chat about anything you can DM me if you like. I'm always over thinking things so we can be over thinkers together! Xx

I’ll download that pregnancy+ app as have been using baby centre which I used before and seems fine on a weekly basis.

One of my worst habits is going to a website which tells you the chance of miscarriage every day/percentage chance of a successful pregnancy - I find it comforting to see the numbers going down / up!

@zsazsamc that won’t be healthy! Although I get it must be comforting to see the numbers going down! Why do you think twins this time? They run in my family, and I’ve always been told I will have twins if I ever go FT! It’s making me anxious!

I just want to feel the nausea and sore boobs again! Never thought I would wish to feel sick!

@Amymummyx2 I’ve just found out on the 13th I’m pregnant with my 3rd! How are u feeling? I haven’t any pregnancy symptoms at all. X

As there are so many groups flying around I’d thought I’d add one that I’ve been searching for and that’s looking for local mums due in the Autumn to share this experience with maybe meet some one having their baby nearby or at the same hospital who knows feel free to join in even you’re out of London.

Hi congrats everyone!! Not sure if you have joined but there is a mumsnet facebook group someone has set up on the other october thread which is called 8481 Club doesn't have baby pics and is a private group atm and is going to be a closed group by the end of the week. Just thought I would let anyone who would like to join know before the group isnt visible to search anymore. X

@Kimmm89 congratulations hun! I feel awful ☹ morning sickness started just before 6 weeks and got so bad I wasn't keeping anything down! On anti sickness tablets from the doctor now which seems to have eased it. How far gone are you? X

@Amymummyx2 I’m about 7 weeks I think, I feel totally fine I honestly don’t feel pregnant at all! I can’t wait for my scan just so I know for certain I am actually pregnant 😂 I’ve took about 6 tests!
Hope the tablets kick in soon I was on them with my 2 girls xx
