Hello everyone

I'm suffering with major anxiety after 2 miscarriages last year.
I'm 14 + 2. In the last week Iv been experiencing cramping and pains down in my lower abdomen. Nothing excruciating but it bothers me because I link it back to my miscarriages. The pains generally appear any time of the day and they also wake me at night.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this. I keep being told it's normal but is it?

X

@cloclo92 hi there sorry for your previous losses and congratulations on your pregnancy 💐 I am also 14 weeks and I get unusual pains but not really painful just uncomfortable. Sometimes when I get up from sitting or when laying down if I don’t lay on my left side. If pains are too much please get it checked. Xx

I had a lot of cramping, stretching sort of pains at that time. Not for hours on end, just occasionally or maybe if I moved the wrong way or stayed in one position for a while. If you're concerned though or if it is very painful or prolonged it would be worth speaking to a midwife, at least to ease your mind.

Iv tried talking to Midwife's and doctors. They don't seem to care. They just said aches and pains are normal. But I'm not so convinced.
The midwife centre I use is absolutely useless so I get absolutely no reassurance :-(

I wouldn't say they were painful. Just uncomfortable. The ones at night I'd say are mildly painful but generally go after change of position or a trip to loo for wee.

I suppose I notice them more when I'm doing things throughout the day. It's normally my indication to stop and sit and they go. X

It is normal, I've had cramping on and off, at any given time through each pregnancy. One of my biggest reasons, I found, was that I was a bit dehydrated. Try to drink plenty of water and see if it eases off a bit.
