39+3 and ridiculously fed up

Any advice/tips welcome to get this little madame moving will be very welcome. I'm so ridiculously uncomfortable

I'm 38+5 and feeling the same! Longing to get this little one out now. I feel like I've tried almost everything aside from sex which I'm really not interested in giving a go...

Feel your pain 41 +3 and counting.... it's hard but remember every day is a day closer to meeting your baby. I've tried everything under the sun and tbh I believe baby really isn't going to come until its ready! Huge empathy

I did acupuncture for DS to induce labour and it definitely worked!

@happychange I'll look into acupuncture. Willing to try anything at the moment

I am 39 weeks exactly tomorrow and I am booked in for a stretch and sweep at 9am -

@S082018 I'm at the midwife at 39+6 and she has point blank refused to do a sweep 😩 good luck tomorrow I went into labour the same day I had a sweep with my 2nd

@mummaB89 oh no why is that?! Ah thank you I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed that it gets me going!

@S082018 she said she won't do it until I'm 40+7 but with my son I had one at 40+2 I could turn on the water works and see if that twists her arm a bit lol

@Chuchu14 what date have they given you to be induced? I'm at the midwife today. Had lots of tightenings last night but nothing this morning

I'm 38+3 and although I'm getting a bit fed up, I still haven't washed all the baby stuff or put the crib together or anything so it's probably best if the baby doesn't come yet! Plus I only started maternity leave on Monday so I'd like at least a week to myself. DH is already having a rubbish day at work and text me saying are you sure you're not in labour yet?

@mummaB89 I had 4 sweeps with my last and none of them worked. The last one being at 41+5.

@CupCupGoose I've been on mat leave a week and I'm so bloody bored it's unreal. The kids go to school and then I don't know what to do with myself. There's only so much cleaning someone can do, my husband moaned that the house smells like a swimming pool 😆 it feels like this baby is never coming

Just got back from midwife. She coming round Friday to do a sweep 🤞🏻

Just an update!

I went for a sweep yesterday morning. Cervix was very high and closed 😔 so sweep couldn't be done. However, my BP was dangerously high. As I was due to be induced on Monday next week anyway due to BP concerns, doctors made a decision to induce me yesterday instead.

Had first pessary put in at 3pm yesterday, waters broke at 4am this morning. No contractions yet but second pessary has been put in at 3pm today and cramps are coming in thick and fast. Cervix is now soft and much more favourable! I'm being examined again at 11pm and in any case will be taken down to labour ward by 4am to be placed on the drip if contractions haven't started already by then!

Looks like I may well have my bundle of joy on my birthday tomorrow ❤️

@mummaB89 I wish I felt like cleaning. Would love to get the house sparkling before the baby comes but I can't see that happening. Yesterday evening I was getting lots of tightenings but nothing came of it. I'm getting the same tonight but I'm sure it will be nothing again.

@CupCupGoose so frustrating isn't it. Every little niggle I think oh this is it then nothing 😩 they can't stay in there forever I guess

Me too, I'm over thinking every tiny thing!

I am so fed up! The excitement of symptom spotting last week (I had a bloody show) has quickly worn off with no sign of any baby or imminent labour. Sigh. I've tried sex, raspberry leaf daily, spicy food. Hoping for a sweep next week but they don't routinely offer them until overdue here. Please come baby!!

@Mol5 I feel your pain. Due day today and absolutely no sign of this little one making an appearance huffff
