Grosnug or groswaddle?

As it says really, looking at either the grosnug which has the zip or the groswaddle which is the wrap around for a newborn.
I have brought grobags for when he is over 8lbs but would like something before...

Or does anyone have an alternative before he hits the weight of going into a gro bag?
I'm happy to use cellular blankets until then but not sure if swaddling at night is a faff when having to change? The grosnug and grobag seem easily accessible for changing.

We used the grosnuggle and it worked well in the early days as it stopped DD waking herself up by waving her hands around.

Worth considering the weather though as you might want the option of their arms being free if baby is due in possible hot weather

Grosnugs were amazing for the first few weeks with dd, I think in the end I ended up with about 6! I didn’t get on with groswaddles, she just unravelled as soon as I put her down.

We swore by the grosnug, so much so that it would be the thing I'd advise all new parents to get. I liked the fact it had options of arms in or arms out

I used the groswaddle. It was basically useless and unwrapped really easily. I'll happily send you mine if you want them!

Bloody loved the grosnug, so easy to use and helped the startle reflex. I had a winter one and a summer one

We much preferred the Love to Dream arms up bags, but we did use the Gro snugs when she was newborn.

Grosnug, just because I CBA with the faff of wrapping. Zips seems way easier.

We used the grosnugs and loved them!

We had a grosnug, and loved it. We got ours in the boots clearance section for £5 and I noticed they had some again the other day, TK maxx also have them in at the moment. I wouldn’t count on using a regular sleeping bag once your baby is 8lbs. My daughter was born nearly 9lbs and didn’t go into a sleeping bag till she was nearly 3 months.

Grosnugs for definite!, so easy to use and one less thing to worry about. Agree about not getting into grobags as early as you might think although I had a JoJo 0-6 month one that DD grew out of ages before her gro one so they do vary.

Thank you everyone, seems very unanimous with the grosnug so will get one of those I think!
