Did anyone have heavy implantation bleed?

Anyone experience this before? My af is usually here CD30 and occasionally a day or two late but NEVER early. This month I got cramps and bleeding started CD25. It was completely gone just 3 days later. Seemed normal flow/colour wise other than some pink creamy CM that morning before af starting in the evening. Don’t usually get that! And usually bleed for 5-7 days quite heavy.

I was convinced I might be PG (pregnant) this month. All the symptoms- sore boobs, heartburn, so tired, waking up loads at night.

Am I going crazy or could that really have been implantation?

Normally IB is lighter than a period. Did you take a test? I didn't get IB or any symptoms before my BFP. All the months I had symptoms ended up just being pmt.

@yesterdayforgotten no I haven’t tested yet. Tbh I feel a bit stupid but I just know something is off.

It was certainly shorter than a period for me but a medium-light flow and red. Probably darker red than usual, almost purple. AF should be due about now but that’s been an gone I don’t know where I am in my cycle at all now! So frustrating

It seems alittle late and close to your period for IB, I'd say it is prob spotting/breakthrough bleeding or just an early period. Hope I'm wrong op! And don't feel silly at all, when I was ttc dc2 I imagined all sorted each cycle and drove myself half crazy! It was actually the month I had no symptoms or anything that I was pregnant.

Thanks @Yesterdayforgotten. I suppose I should be sensible and accept that it was af and not ib. Just so not normal for me to be that early or that short! Bizarre. Feeling all sorts of twinges and cramps now that are quite possibly in my head!

I understand what you're saying op but I had months like that too where I thought it wasnt normal but it turns out it was because it wasnt pregnancy that particular month. I hope it is for you though, hope I'm wrong! Hope the cramps arent your af coming.

Okay, I need some serious advice,
I’ve been on birth control almost non stop since I was 13, I am now 21. I finally got off birth control about a month or so ago. While on birth control I had my periods were crazy. With the Depo, I rarely ever had a period, probably a handful of times the two years I was on it. Then with the nexplanon I had super irregular periods and started getting ovarian cysts, which caused me to have absolutely crippling periods. I got the nexplanon removed mid December because it finally expired. I went on the patch after that and was on it for no more than a week before I quit because I ended up in the hospital for a ruptured cyst, and had more than I did on the nexplanon. Finally I was birth control free. My bf and I use condoms but have had a few oops moments with them. I want a baby and am beyond ready, he is still working on getting to that point. I started what I believe is my period on Friday, but unlike my other periods I never got any warning whatsoever. I always always get cramps and symptoms like two days before I start, not this time. And also the first day I was beyond moody, sensitive and crying a lot. I’ve never been like that. I hardly have cramps either and am bleeding lighter. But I’m bleeding enough to where I can’t be sure if it’s implantation. I just don’t know. I know some women are different, some can bleed more, some can not bleed at all. Like this period is far from my normal. Even when I did have regular periods they weren’t like this. My boobs are very tender and heavy. I’ve been mega nauseous and before I started my “period” I was getting these really weird tingles in my stomach and it felt like my stomach was stretching. I have not been able to sleep, it’s like my insomnia came back. And my appetite has been off. Also, a big one for me, my sex drive is like gone. I am the most sexually active person I know, at all times, even when on my period. I just really don’t know. If anyone has advice I would greatly appreciate it.

@elizabethbennet3rd I had what I was sure was AF at the end of January, lasted 3 days, normal flow etc etc. Then towards the end of last week I started feeling nauseous, had food aversions, terrible headaches and completely exhausted. I tested and got the faintest line, so faint I thought nothing of it until it carried on - bought another 2 tests yesterday and got very very clear positives so it is possible x

@whambam89 thank you for replying. How long after the bleed did you get BFP? If mine was actual af then I’m currently on cd9 and had pink spotting yesterday and today. Which certainly isn’t normal for me. I might make a gp appointment tomorrow as there’s definitely something amiss!

@elizabethbennet3rd I had "AF" Saturday - Monday and took a test on the Wednesday and the line was so faint you could barely see it (actually assumed I was going crazy until my symptoms definitely didn't disappear) I took another yesterday and that's where I had a very clear line.. took a CB digital today and it says 1-2 weeks. I have had some spotting while wiping as well but literally just mixed in with CM and I'm hoping nothing to be concerned about. Have you tested again?

I had 5 days IB with my last pregnancy - definitely a lot lighter than a period. Just noticeable when wiping and no cramps and no bright red blood. Sadly that pregnancy ended in MC. IB started 3 days before AF was due.

Now I have had 3 days of spotting again instead of my period. It’s definitely not a period but just like my previous IB. Did one test which was negative. Will try again in 2-3 days unless I get my period of course.

Yes I did.

It wasn't a normal period, it was a little late and very brown but it lasted a few days, but enough for me not to bother testing. 4 weeks later didn't get a period so tested and got a positive.

Turned up for a scan at 8 weeks pregnant (previous miscarriage meant I got an early scan) to find I was already 12 weeks pregnant.

@whambam89 I tested yesterday and BFN so perhaps it was just an early, short period. Nothing explains the spotting though but surely if what I had was ib then I’d be getting BFP by now a week after it began and 2 days after af was supposed to show!

Was your bleed normal in colour? What I had seemed like a period apart from the length and timing. Just don’t know what to think. I appreciate the replies...trying to compare stories and feel somewhat less stupid!

Could coming off birth control have caused the spotting etc? I know I had breakthrough bleeding, spotting and a change in my cycles when I came off even after a few months. Hormones are a tricky thing.

Just to say any unusual bleeding / spotting should be checked out with a gp - just to be on the safe side.

This is my situation now, I started getting cramps, feeling emotional and getting hot flushes about 6 days after ovulation and then some light pink when I wiped, it became more period like the next day but still light and today it feels like a full on period, but it’s a week early? It’s basically disappearing now (all symptoms), so very quick but then my usual periods aren’t more than 48 hours anyway....
If I want ttc I probably wouldn’t think that much into it but it’s hard to not obsess right now

I have some similar symptoms, yesterday I was working out and felt as though ny period started but a very light pink blood. I put a tampon in which when removed was only brown discharge, and then nothing on the second tampon. I changed to a liner and again nothing but red/pink blood when I wipe. It seems to have stopped now, I am unsure if its pregnancy as I have pcos and irregular periods, currently on day 102! Hmm

Hi all, I’m not sure if anyone could help me here.
I am on CD27 and from CD20 which was 3 DPO I started spotting and it it was very light pink/brown colour with minor lower back pain, this was going on for 7 days and yesterday I had really bad cramps with blood flow and no clots.
My cycles are always on time and it is 30days. I’m never early and I always see clots while on period but this time even though I had really bad cramps for 10hrs I didn’t see any clots and colour is slightly lighter than my period.
We have been ttc for the past 9 months and I’m not sure if this is a severe implantation bleeding/cramping? I still can see blood flow but cramp is gone completely. Can anyone help me please?

Im not sure if this is any help, with my IB i had one day of pretty much a full flow (needed pads) and then spotting for about 5 days too. Thought it was my period so was gearing up for another cycle and then a week later had more pink spotting so did a test and i was pregnant. The only way you'll know is to do a test. It seems odd it lasted for so long but it could be IB? But definitely do a test if you think you could be pregnant xx

Hi, I posted in June regarding my strange bleeding and it turned out I was pregnant but unfortunately the pregnancy didn't continue. We are now trying again so good luck on your journey. Also, my pregnancy test was negative it was only when I had a blood test that confirmed I was pregnanct (aboit 5 weeks)
